Mother's Memories To Her Child

While a goal of mine has always been to make memories with my children, this little gem allows me to give them a glimpse into who I am, through sharing my memories of my own childhood and life. There are starters to prompt your writing and refresh your memories, making them ripe for storytelling. There are sweet and pretty illustrations throughout the book. It is notable that the book is peppered with religious notations, which fits my intent, but may not be what others are seeking. I have two sons and a stepdaughter and will be handing them each a completed copy of child-specific memories, since some of the notations are particular to the recipient. Years ago, I handed an empty copy of the grandmother's version to my grandma; when she passed, the completed book was given to me and more than five years since her passing, I am still brought to tears by her revelations and candidness in sharing her life's story with me. It has helped me understand who I am, and connected me to my past and my own children in ways I would have never imagined. It is a wonder, but this is more than a book...you are purchasing an experience.

I sent this to my sister's so that they could help my mother feel this out I just thought how great it would be this year things from her past!

Purchased for my daughter for a Mother's Day gift! She gave me the "grandmother" version when she announced her pregnancy. These will be nice keepsakes!

I absolutely love this book! I have given it to NEW Mom's, my Sister in Law's and most recently to a young mother with cancer as a way for her to pass her time in chemo therapy. I myself lost my mother at just 12 and there are so many things I will never know about her and that is why I gift this book! I also bought the Grandfather's Gift for my Grandfather in Law to complete for my husband and his brothers. I gave a copy to each of my Grandmother's for myself and what a treasure to read their stories. I really learned so much!

I was glad to find these books again My mom gave me one all filled out and now that she is gone, I love reading and rereading it. Plus it is very beautiful. I'm giving these to my daughter in laws to give to their children. Best gift ever!!

I bought this book for friend because I have one of my own that I filled out for my daughter. It is most wonderful book and I think every parent/grandparent should do this for their children/grandchildren. For me, it was a very moving experience because my own mother helped me fill out my book for my daughter the night before she went into a surgery. It turns out that my mom did not survive that surgery. She wrote some of the entries in my book for me that night and now it is last things my mother ever wrote in her beautiful handwriting. Very precious memories.

Beautiful book but if you’re not looking for extremely religion don’t buy it. I love God so it’s no problem for me but other may be buying this as a gift and can’t give it now

Smaller book than I expected but the questions are exactly what I was looking for... Very beautiful for both a son an a daughter. I bought one so I could see if it was good..I will buy 2 more of these shortly for my other two kids! This is also a wonderful book to give as a gift. It speaks about God alot though but that is something that I wanted since God is very much a part of our family life.

This item is exactly what I had pictured and very satisfied with it.
