I paired this along with my older Craftsman shop vac for general clean up, and also ordered a 10 ft dust collection hose kit with 5 fittings to directly connect with my power tools —- what a game changer for my small shop set up. Can’t believe how well this works! Not having to constantly go through the mess and hassle of cleaning off my shop vac filter is a godsend. Every bit as good as advertised.

This is my 2nd dust deputy in my small shop! I needed a dust separater for my Miter station that didnt get in my way. The Lo Pro fit the bill. It was easy to assemble and I added a y port with 2 blast gates ( one for Miter saw and one for shop hose for around the shop clean up. I trust Oneida as their products hold up and deliver. I did not use the casters and instad used a bucket to hold the unit. Then secured bucket to my bench. Wala!!!

Works incredibly well. I use it to prefilter a Dewalt quiet shop vac on my CNC machine. Very little, dust, almost none, reached the caniister of the shop vac. That was probably because I let the bucket get too full before emptying it. Update: One of the clips that secure the top to the bucket broke. While the device worked well before ther clip broke it is now useless as I cannot find replacement parts. The only workaround is to use some other sort of clamp but why should I spend over a hundred dollars for a plastic gizmo that easily breaks. The bucket never moves out from under the CNC except when emptying it. No undue pressure on the lid clamps. The Dewalt quiet vac is still awesome.

The Oneida Dust Deputy Low-Pro is exactly what I wanted/needed for my small hobby woodworking shop (garage). Nice compact size and will work well for cleaning up the sawdust and dirt in the shop without filling my shopvac and its filter. I was slightly surprised with the amount of fiddly installation stuff that was required. Would have thought that they would have installed the rubber gasket on the lid at the factory, as well as the anti-static protection strip. Not a big deal, but for the price it seemed they would have performed that work.

This works as advertised and keeps the vacuum helps filter clean. I wish it had a larger chips and dust collection bin, but the bin itself is clear so you can see the dust building up so you know when it needs dumping. My only gripe is that the cyclone unit is held onto the bin with only two flimsy clips when I think it needs four to enable a better seal between the cyclone and the bin. Otherwise, it’s a good unit and I recommend it.

Bought this sucker (on Amazon and not direct from Oneida) and was frustrated the casters didn’t stay when any pressure was exerted on the lid (which you need to do to latch). Threw the casters away, didn’t write a review, and just planned to feel like I wasted money paying extra for a rolling bucket. Next thing I know, a new bucket shows up. Apparently my bucket was defective. They realized it, and replaced it on their own. Incredible. So I dug the casters out of the bottom of a trash bag full of saw dust and BAM they work like a charm. O, by the way, the low profile design collects a ton of saw dust ranging from planner shavings to MDF and fits perfect under my miter saw. Oneida has a new customer for life now.

I've had the original Dust Deputy on my old 16 gal. Sears Craftsman shop vac for many years, mounted on a 5 gal. hydraulic fluid bucket. They've picked up dirt, metal shavings, welding rod stubs, screws, nuts, nails, and sawdust. The Dust Deputy was fine but I wore out the bucket and when I'd put a new filter in the shop vac the bucket would collapse. Now that I'm retired and only playing with wood, I needed a new bucket. I got the new 2.5" Low Pro (heavy-duty bucket), hooked it up to the shop vac with a new filter, and cleaned my shop.........I can't remember when the shop vac performed so well or the shop was so clean. And, nothing got through to the filter. 5-stars for the Low-Pro but only 3-stars for the clips that hold the cyclone to the bucket. It makes putting the cyclone back on after emptying the bucket more of a chore than it needs to be.
