I meandered over to desertcart, and priced out the #17 and #10, and found out that with shipping, it came out to around $25. For that price, compared to buying a $400 fishfinder/ chartplotter, I did not have a lot to lose. Click, click, BUY. I got the package in the mail today, and immediately took the #17 to the fishfinder screen with a clean white washcloth and started rubbing it in. For the first few minutes, I thought I had wasted $25, but after about 5 minutes of rubbing the cleaner in (with only a few drops applied every 90 seconds or so) it was obviously working well. A firm, quick buffing action, alternating between little circles and up-down, left-right motion, and in about 7 minutes that screen looked like it had just come out of the box. Per the recommendations in the instructions, I applied the #10 polish immediately afterwards, and it looked better than new. I was incredibly impressed with myself, and Meguiar's products. Now I can tell fishing partners about the idiot who sprayed DEET on my fishfinder without ever mentioning who that idiot was. Totally worth the money. Review: Surprised Headlights and Clearcoat looks great - I have a 20-year-old Acura TL that just turned 200,000 miles. I try to keep it in good-looking shape and the headlights oxidize and make it look old, so I polish them clear every few months. I was using another product that worked pretty well but I saw this Meguiars Mirror and found it worked really well. So I am happy about my purchase. The clearcoat finish on the car is starting to look cloudy, so I tried an area on the hood, applied some Meguiar's Mirror polish on it, and rubbed it in. I then took my polishing wheel and buffed it out, it looked amazing, see the photo, and zoom in to really see the improvement. Many cleaners for glass contain ammonia or other chemical that will degrade or fog "plastic" vert windows. Plus this is a "polish" not a "cleaner" which means it has some form of abrasive (mild) that can safely be used on plastic windows. Polishes don't need to be used every time your window needs cleaned. For "cleaning" I prefers Stoners Glass cleaner as I have found it to be the best to clean any glass surface but mild enough to use on the plastic BMW rear windows. **Q: Has anyone tried to use this product to remove the eyeglass lens scratches?** A: Often plastic lens eyeglasses have a coating on them. That is softer and scratches easily. Using this product on those glasses will make it worse. It will remove the coating. Yes I have tried it and found out the hard way. However, on untreated plastic, like safety glasses, it worked fine for me. **Q: Can this be used on a vinyl convertible window?** A: I used to use this on the clear plastic convertible window of an early 90's Mazda Miata I owned, and it worked beautifully.
