Quality and price make for a top product.
This is a sturdy well made product which does its jo b in an efficient manner in my case to allow me to connect Sky tv and aFreeview / Freesat box to a single input socket. I have not noticed any loss of quality in reception as a result of this type of connecrion, but I would recommend that your signals be of sufficient strength In order that no losses of signals occurs as a result of using this type of connection. Yes, you will still require a satellite dish and an aerial for your freeview reception.

Good quality kit
The pack contained all necessary parts to connect a Sky receiver and another such box to a given pair of satellite output cables. I used it to connect a Freesat device with my Sky box, all parts including extension cables, junction fixtures, even cable grips supplied to make a good looking job work well, I am delighted and would recommend this to anyone, note also a very keen price!

... actually used the item as yet but it looks like it should do what I require
Haven't actually used the item as yet but it looks like it should do what I require. Was delivered promptly and undamaged. Not much else to say about it.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong
They are very easy to install but maybe I'm doing it wrong. They only allow one receptor (Sky box or TV with freesat) to work at a time, but not both at the same time. That was really the reason I bought them for. If what I want isn't possible then that wasn't clear to me at the time of purchase or even now to be honest. If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know.

Simple solution
After attaching the splitter to the sat inputs on the receiver, I attached an Electrosmart easy fit satellite amplifier booster with patch lead to the main line, with the unsplit sat signal entering this booster. This means that one can watch one channel whilst recording another or record two simultaneous (HD) broadcasts. Picture perfect.

Works with no drop in signal quality
This splits a single cable into two with no drop in quality. It has the type F screw fitting like on a satellite but I used it on my radio aerial which also had the same fitting, now we have good quality signal in the office and the work room. Would buy again.

Buyer beware
I wasted my money on this. My issue was that I had two Sky aerial leads in a room that I wanted to link to my Digi box which wasn't a Sky box and this adaptor set up was of no use at all. You need to link it to a Sky box first which in my case was hopeless and this item should have been described better. I even asked questions prior to purchase on Amazon and the answers I got although well meaning were confusing. I can't even send it back because I tried to adapt one of the leads that comes with this kit and I thought that I had done everything right but still nothing worked, no signal at all. This is cheap but for my purposes it was a total waste of money. If you have the same set up that I have then DO NOT buy this.

Not needed in the end
After purchasing this splitter, discovered that I could change the programming of Sky+HD box to only use one input, so the second cable from the dish goes directly to the TV (Freesat). I always (wrongly) assumed that Sky box needed both inputs to receive all channels.....turns out they're just duplicates (to allow simultaneous recording/viewing)
