I overlapped this wire with the fence about 6-8" and wove the stakes through both to keep them up. No more problems & the fence has held nicely through all kinds of weather. Now it's winter and we have 2' of snow, making the fence about 4" high with mountain lion tracks on the outside of the fence this morning. I've just ordered more wire and stakes (I use about 5 per roll) to try and keep the dog in and the mountain lion discouraged enough that she stays out.
