Efficient cleaning with zero hassle
This steam mop makes keeping the floors clean incredibly simple. One of the best features is how quickly it heats up; you can go from plugging it in to steaming in less than a minute, which is perfect for quick touch-ups. It does a great job of lifting grime without needing harsh chemicals, leaving the floors looking refreshed. The design of the pads is also a major plus. They are very easy to remove when you are finished, and being able to toss them right into the wash makes the whole process much more convenient. If you want an effective tool that is easy to handle and maintain, this mop is a solid choice.

Best streamer! Cleans floors so well!
Great, easy to use steamer. Cleans floors without leaving residue or streaks. I use this in my wood floors and tile! I wish the cord was longer but that is my only complaint! Great way to sterilize and sanitize in a nontoxic way!

Works well but hard to tell if the result provides a clean floor
The mop itself it very easy to use and straight-forward. It comes with two double sided pads which is nice and its easy to refill the water tank. The issue I have and reason why I didnt put 5 stars is because it takes a while to get the steam out and I'm not sure the floor is clean.

Time tested *with UPDATE
I've had my Shark now for over two years and it's still going strong! I was honestly nervous after receiving my steam mop because it did feel a little flimsy. However, that being said...it would be tiring to use a heavy solid mop that holds added weight in water! We decided to go with the steam for several reasons but first, because my daughter suffers from severe allergies! This mop uses no cleaners and does a much better job than a traditional mop and bucket. I also liked the "green" factor of no cleaner and washable pads. I have washed and reused the cleaning pads too many times to count and not a single one of them is showing any signs of wear!! (not counting some staining of course) Also, one of my daughters accidentally dropped my Shark down the basement stairs and cracked the plastic housing...didn't effect the mop in the least. It feels no flimsier and hasn't worsened as I've continued using it...and it doesn't leak. It's plastic...I don't blame the mop for breaking when the same daughter dropped my cast iron pan down the same stairs and that also broke ;) We have finished hardwood floors, laminate floors, tiled floors, Allure floors and oiled pine floors...this mop works wonderfully on every one of them! I've used it to remove general dirt and grime, sticky nasties, wax, crayon, marker, paint, wood stove ash residue, unidentifiable kid & pet surprises and numerous food spills all with great success! I have recommended this mop several times and will do so several more times I'm sure! The only drawback, by the way, to steam mopping is during peak humid summer weather, although the added humidity during the dry winter months is great! ;) ***UPDATE*** Sadly my Shark pocket mop finally died :( It stopped making steam after 4 years! My super handy husband popped it open and removed one tiny little part and it worked again...but only for a couple more moppings. So...after four years of using the daylights out of it I am back to buy a new mop...just an FYI in those four years we have had 8 children, 2 adults, several animals and countless house guests traipsing in and out! I did the research...I read the reviews...I compared prices. For the money...I am buying another Shark Pocket Mop! Things I've learned... I originally bought the mop with several heads. I only used the rectangular one. I have an open floor plan so if you have tight spaces the triangular head may work better for you. I didn't use the carpet attachment either...with my daughter's allergies we got rid of all our carpeting...which means our entire house is bare, steam-moppable floors...this mop gets USED! Our house is not large...28x26, two and a half levels with moppable floors with a mostly open floor plan. The cord reached every area from one central outlet.**UPDATE** The cord on the new mop is shorter than the old one. I was disappointed, but it still mops the same...only now I have to move the plug to more than one outlet...not a deal-breaker for me** I also never had to buy replacement pads in the four years I've owned them! They are no longer white...but they still work beautifully! I occasionally tried the big purple fluffy pad that came with mine but I wasn't totally thrilled with it...maybe because it took longer to wet enough to clean with...admittedly I just want to get mopped and be done ASAP. If I came across an especially hard spot to get clean I simply (with shoes on!) stepped on the head and applied pressure and steam for several seconds and rarely had anything not come up...even cooled candle wax :) Most other mops don't look like you could step on the head without damaging it. By far my favorite feature is the reversible mopping surface! I mop half of one level (it actually could do more) then simply flip the mop over to mop the rest with the clean side! LOVE that! No changing scalding hot pads part way through a mop job or waiting for it to cool down enough to change it! I also got one level done on one tank of water with some left over :) AND...even though it said to use distilled water I never did....I used straight well water from the tap...and we have high iron in our water. I am most definitely a fan...especially for a price that's nearly half of many of the other steam mops out there! I am sorry that some other reviewers did not have the same experience I have had. I understand that this is an electronic appliance. My new one may have a manufacturing flaw that my old one didn't. You will get that with ANY electronic device...some will be flawless...others DOA. A definite pain, but for this mop, in my opinion...well worth the risk :) FOUR years...and 3 months to be exact! I totally got my money's worth!

Tired of Swiffer?? you NEED this
where do I begin?? This thing is absolutely amazing. I’ve had it for about almost a month now. It cleans extremely well and you can even feel how clean the floor is after it’s done. It is very important that you follow the instructions and put distilled water just so you don’t clog it. If i’m being honest that takes about 10 minutes right before you’re ready to clean. The pad is reversible and after you’re done cleaning, you just toss it in the washing machine. I don’t have to purchase any separate attachments and you’re able to use it again after a wash. I used to break my back cleaning the house with the swiffer and even with that it didn’t fully clean it. Not to mention how annoying it is to constantly buy the swiffer pads. With every time I use this, it gets less dirty, but I genuinely cannot believe how dirty it gets considering I clean my place every single week. It shows you how big of a difference is when you use steam rather than just a mop around the house. Super worth it, Worth the price and very convenient. I also love that it’s not that big. I’m able to store it in my closet. If you’re second guessing… just do it. it’s extremely important not to put anything in the water. Just keep it as distilled water but what I tend to do is I throw Fabuloso on the floor and very very small amount with water mixed into it and just go throughout the house with that makes it smell, so clean and thoroughly cleans the floor, that’s one way of doing it if you don’t want to just steam it with water, but as I mentioned, I cannot emphasize the importance of using distilled water and not putting any chemicals in the actual water of the steamer. The only downside I have to this is I believe the cable is just a little bit shorter than I expected. I would’ve personally liked it a little bit longer so I’m having to unplug it every time I switch like 2-3 rooms but other than that no complaints whatsoever.

Fantastic!
My wife has wanted one of these for a long time, and I have resisted because we have a closet full of flimsy battery powered vacuum and mop devices. Every one has turned out to be a poor substitute for the sturdier "real" versions. When I first saw the shark, I thought it would be just another seldom used, ineffective cleaning device. I finally relented after having to help bleach and scrub out textured ceramic tile kitchen floor one too many times. The texture really traps dirt, and it's next to impossible to get it all up even with a stiff scrub brush. I thought perhaps the steam might do a better job of loosening the dirt, so I started price shopping. Costco had the shark for $99, and Amazon had it for $79 with free 2-day shipping (Amazon Prime). The Shark assembles very easily, and it has an adjustable length handle, which is great for accommodating users of different heights or for using the Shark on stairs. It is light weight, and heats up very quickly (ready to use in less than 30 seconds). The mop head swivels in three dimensions (side to side, up and down, and rotates), so you can easily get it around / between any obstacle. The low profile of the mop head also means it's by far the best cleaning device for getting under the front of the stove and refrigerator. The steam is a tremendous cleaner! It quickly, completely, and effortlessly loosens the dirt out of textured flooring and the soft terry mop cover absorbs it completely. I was surprised how clean the tile looked (I had quite literally forgotten just how light the tile really was). It's a good thing the Shark comes with two mop covers, because you'll want to flip it and/or change it when cleaning heavy traffic areas. I was also really surprised at how long the steam lasted. The first reservoir produced 12 continuous minutes of steam. You generate steam by "pumping" the handle, but you actually end up generating adequate steam simply by the back and forth motion (like when you use a vacuum cleaner). And because the Shark is light weight, you don't have to worry about tiring out your arm. Be sure you only use distilled water. It's only a dollar or so at the grocery store, and it will keep your Shark working a long time. The heat used to create steam will cause any minerals in tap water to separate out of the water and settle / harden in the components and openings of the Shark, until it is no longer able to deliver enough steam to the mop head. Distilled water already has all those minerals removed. Do not use any cleaners, either in the water (they will also ruin your Shark) or on your floors. The steam has more than enough cleaning power on its own. Using a cleaner will just leave a detergent residue on your floor, and if you understand how detergents work, you'll understand how that residue will actually make your floor soil faster. the Shark will leave your floor wet as the steam cools and re-condenses into water, and while the terry mop head will pick up all the dirt, there is a finite amount of moisture it can hold. So just like a regular mop, plan to let your floor air dry before walking on it. You can use the Shark on sealed hardwood floors, but you should absolutely avoid using it on wood floors that are unsealed or where the sealant has worn thin. The steam will soak the wood and will quickly damage unsealed floors. I used my Shark on one section of oak hardwood floors, and once again, I was amazed to see the dark lines that I thought were just part of the aged wood grain (my floors are 75 years old), but it turned out they were just areas where dirt had settled into the natural wood grain texture of the floor (sealant wears unevenly, especially in high traffic areas over such a lengthy period of time). I have mopped those floors so many times, I had no idea how much stubborn dirt there was embedded into the grain. No matter how often you clean your floors, and no matter how difficult your textured floor is to clean, you will be astounded at the dirt that the Shark will remove.

ITS OK
I have used this 3 or 4 times now. Im still trying to figure out if I like it or not. I appreciate true honest reviews when I am looking to purchase something so I feel like my experience my be helpful. First of all I noticed while reading these reviews that many of them are for the different styles of shark steam mops. Thats was quite confusing while I was shopping for my mop. I was looking for the entry level model and noticed I was reading reviews for the higher end models. My review is based on the shark steam pocket mop. It does not have a carpet attachment or the triangle one or the handheld version. It is the simple base version. I bought it as an open box item from an amazon seller so some of the things I find as flaws may be due to this particular unit not being "brand new" First of all it was bigger than I expected but in a good way. It feels pretty sturdy and the telescoping handle was a very nice surprise feature. The pads that come with it are very nice and feel very sturdy like they will last along time. It is easy and quick to get started and heats up quickly. It starts out a bit like dry mopping and I have to stay in the spot I start in for a bit until the steam gets the mop head damp enough to work. I am a bit disappointed with the steam out put. I expected a bit more based on reviews I had read. At times the steam comes out good and strong but then it just sort of fizzles out for a while and when I hit a dirty spot and want a bit more power steam there is no way to do that. I have a parrot a dog and three kids. I have many dirty spots and need a bit more steam than this puts out. On the flip side of this issue, I have decided this may in fact be a good thing due to the fact that I have what appears to be some kind of synthetic or real wood floors throughout my rental apt and I have no idea if they are sealed or not so probably best to have less steam so as not to damage anything. I have also found that it does get the floors clean enough if I go over the heavier traffic areas several times. Its not hard to do and it does get the sticky dirty ground in stuff off the floors. It doesn't get the floors to wet and dries very quickly. I do enjoy using this mop over all just a bit frustrated with the steam output. One other flaw I have noticed, I was motivated to buy this particular steam mop due to the feature that allows you to simply flip the mop head over and use the clean side without changing the pad. However, I noticed that in doing this you also flip the water tank upside down which then stops the steam. So this feature is pointless. Over all this mop is ok for someone who wants a simple steam mop to replace the old dirty water bucket. For the price I paid (43.00) I cant complain because it gets the job done. Also this will work for someone who isn't sure steam will be damaging to their floors. This puts out such a small amount of steam I don't think its even an issue. My floors are cleaner than they were when I used the wet swiffer mop. I can over look the flaws since it does a decent job and its easy to use and store.

So, so good. Throw your Swiffer away!
This is a great product. I did not know how much I needed this until I had it. Through trial and error, I've basically tried every floor cleaning solution that is not this product. String mops, sponge mops, Swiffers, and the Swiffer wet-jet thing. They all fall short in some way (or in every way for some of them). This product is all of those things combined, but better. It's a Swiffer that you don't have to buy pads for. It's a mop that you don't have to buy floor cleaner for, or change water for. It's that wet-jet nonsense, but it cleans better, and PICKS DIRT UP instead of turning it into mud and pushing it around. I was skeptical when my wife ordered this. The first time I used it, I became a believer. The steam thing is not a gimmick. Fill it up with distilled water (I was warned sternly not to use tap water), and it's ready to go. It heats up faster than the hot water on the sink, cleans better that whatever floor cleaner or Swiffer baby wipe you can buy, it dries much faster, and then you just toss the pad in the laundry and reuse it. I wish everything worked this well. This isn't a vacuum, and this isn't a broom. You should sweep the floor, at least half-assedly, beforehand. That's true with all of the other products too. I'm lazy, and I don't sweep every time. I put my hand flat on the floor, and if there are no more than three visible pieces of stuff stuck to my hand when I look at it, I skip the broom and go right to the Shark. Please don't tell my wife.

Mejor de un trapeador normal
con el Shark la boquilla esta mucho mas limpio. Tengo un perro y cuando ella toma agua la mitad sale la boca y deja manchas en la boquilla. El Shark limpia la boquilla y todo el piso es mejor.

Effective and Easy to Use Floor Steamer.
This is a great floor steamer. It performs well and I’m very pleased that I can clean all my hard surfaced floors without worrying that the water will damage the hardwood. The water dries very quickly so that it should not cause any problems. I also have the Bona hardwood floor cleaner which I will use occasionally on the hardwood.
