Our local council has just introduced food waste caddies, but the grey plastic kitchen caddy they provided was particularly large and ugly and I was looking for something a bit nicer. Step forward Tydi. This is a lovely caddy, with a push button lid (great solution as I have arthritis) and a rimmed lid that keeps the bag neatly inside. A very good buy.

Good and solid, with a separate lid that holds the bags in place, with a push button to flip the lid open. Looks nice in the kitchen and not too expensive.

As a bin in itself this is a brilliant product. The size is good. It doesn’t take up too much space on our kitchen side. It is very sturdy. It holds quite a bit of food waste and the lid is very easy to use especially for a person who maybe struggles with things like arthritis etc. It doesn’t keep out the flies unfortunately though. My husband and I brought this as our cat would use his nose to open the food bin. As it had a button we thought this would be a good “cat proof” bin - it is not. All he does now is put his nose underneath the top frame of the bin and lift it off! (Cat parenting fail - the cat outsmarted us! Cat-1 mum&dad-0 haha!)

I love my food waste bin. It’s a great colour and stylish design. Easy to clean. Only negative is it’s not as deep as the ones our council provide.

I only received this food waste bin 1 day ago but in the evening I got 2 waste food bags 3/4 filled up and ready to be disposed of. The bin held both food bags easily with room to spare for another. It is very easy to clean. A little warm/hot water, a little washing up liquid and a cloth. Sorted! 😘 The colour is nice and any errant food bits will show up before the escape makes a mess anywhere. Looks solid but it is lightish, too. It will survive for quite some time.

Good quality - good robust feeling plastic. Push button for lid feels solid. Good size - holds a reasonable amount to force regular emptying, and doesn’t take up too much space on the worktop Good opening - the push button means it can be opened with one hand and the opening is large enough to not struggle when scraping plates etc.

Very stylish looking food bin that doesn't look out of place in the kitchen. Much easier to cleanly dispose of food peelings as had a 'pop' button to open the lid when your hands are full.

Ideal size for countertop in kitchen as caddy bags cannot become so full that you can't tie a knot in them! It's a quality item with its anti-slip base and very useful lid seal. Quick and easy to rub over with anti bacterial wipe. Highly recommended.
