I've tried other brands-more expensive and cheaper, these are the best for my high arches. I have plantar fasciitis and while they don't cure it-they really support the ligament and significantly reduce the pain. My condition hasn't stopped me from walking or hiking but these supports really do make my foot feel better. If you have PF and high arches I'd strongly recommend giving these a try. The little padding in the center really makes my foot feel better by not letting the ligament stretch.Update-I used these insoles in my hiking boots everyday while hiking five to ten miles/day in the UK. Wow-my PF foot pain all but vanished. I'll be buying a third pair.Update-my PF is gone. Whether these were responsible for it or not I can't say for sure. However, they seemed to have played a part in it. I tried everything-lacrosse ball massage, ice massages, steroid injections, compression socks, night splints just about anything that was supposed to help. Only when I started using these inserts did it seem to improve. It took ten months to go away so maybe it was just time.I have three pairs of these now and they continue to do their job. Since I'm prone to PF I'll continue using these in my shoes. Definitely if I need to paint from a ladder which precipitated my PF.Update-I forgot that I use these until I got a new pair of walking/hiking shoes. These are an absolute must for me. I'll never wear shoes without them. This will be my fourth/fifth pair-I lost track. They do wear out over time.I got a new pair of shoes recently and started getting heel pain in the morning when getting out of bed. I didn't think about PF since it was in my heel and in the past it was in the arch. After doing some internet research I found that it is PF even in the heel. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis and hammer toes. I look for as much arch/ankle support as I can get from an insert. These insoles feel very much like the insoles I have been wearing in my walking shoes. They provide arch support up the inside of the shoe, and the metatarsal support is comfortable to me as my other inserts also have this feature. They also have a cupped heel for stability. They are stiff in the arch area. The insert is perforated in the toe box area for breathability.
