Perfect Comfort
These were a great price, fit perfect like all other Altra's, good traction for paved walking/running/rucking, good cushioning without feeling too spongey. With several miles rucking in these, no sign of wear at all.

Worth Every Cent!
This was the 2nd time I purchased this same exact shoe. It’s great straight out of the box. No breaking-in period needed. So very comfortable with support in all the right places.

I'm on my second pair (Techincally I had the "Paradigm 6" before and am now wearing the "7")
I was suffering (literally) foot pain from not replacing my old shoes soon enough. I was only walking, not running, but walking the dog for 6 miles a day gave me (self diagnosed) both plantar fasciitis and Morton's neuroma as well. These shoes were bought because they promised a high arch, and a wide toe box. These delivered on the wide toe box, better than any of the "big name" brands I used to wear, however I still needed to add an arch support. Their definition of "high arch" support is still much lower than my actual arches. But between these shoes and the arch support, the plantar fasciitis doesn't bother me anymore. ( I don't notice the Morton's neuroma after I get "warmed up". )

Great design, good comfort.
Great shoe. Very comfortable and semi-light in the feet. Would recommend for walking or running in.

Awesome, but caveats
If you buy these, you might want new shoelaces for them. The laces these come with are super stretchy, and don't stay tied particularly well. I am trying some of the DELELE hiking shoelaces and they seem to be working very well. I might update this review later if I find the "perfect" laces for them. The "black" color is in fact a very dark teal, so beware of that. If they were actually black and not teal, I would love the styling. These have a very slight upward toe curve. That is exceptionally good as far as modern running shoes go: the rocker design *groan*. The toe box is tall enough for an orthotic, and wide enough that most people's toes will splay out enough. There is plenty of cushion to be on hard surfaces (tennis, basketball, concrete, etcetera). These should work great for people used to ASICS or New Balance, however because there is zero heel-toe drop in these you might want something with 4mm drop first to get your lower legs conditioned for these. Otherwise, you might find yourself with some achilles pain. But these are the shoes you want, once you have the conditioning to handle them. These are ideal for people who are advanced runners, rather than race-walkers or joggers. You can walk and jog in these, but it is going to put more stress on your lower legs than some other options. It just depends how far you will be going.

Much different feel than the Paradigm 6
I am a bit disappointed in this revision. It is lighter, but also firmer, less substantial outsole, and different geometry from the 5/6. The insole or maybe midsole is a bit squeaky when walking around in them (I assume this goes away after a while). The firmer cushioning doesn't make sense in a daily trainer. I don't need "energy return" and lightness in a trainer, I need protection, comfort, and durability. I don't appreciate that there is even less outsole material, but it seems a little bit tougher so maybe wear is similar. It does seem unusually thin for a trainer. The feel of the shoe is significantly different, I'm heel striking just walking around in them due to the geometry changes (I believe the heel cup has been shifted forward quite a lot). Which is a really bizarre choice in a zero-drop/unbiased shoe. Once I get running in them it doesn't feel like I'm heel striking as much but it is still there. I'll be keeping them in the rotation just for some variation, but I don't think they will be used for long runs for a while until they start to feel better.

Super comfortable and stable running shoe
I am not much of runner, but I am athletic, playing hockey and hiking. My left foot pronates, and I have mild Morton's Neuroma. I have foot issues. These are my first zero drop running shoes. These shoes made it easier for me to run. I received them today and tried them on. They seemed unimpressive at first, but I started to walk around the house and begin to think "huh, these have a fair amount of arch support!" Then I went for an easy run. My feet behaved very differently. I had NO pain. My feet and knees felt naturally aligned. My whole lower body just started to WORK. My feet had room to work and supported me in ways I didn't know athletic shoes could do. I am looking forward to my next run in these.

Helps me a lot with the space of the shoes. Feet are happy.
