I wouldn't recommend these in formal dress shoes. Unless you deliberately purchased a size larger shoe to accommodate them.

I have been wearing these, just the left one! for 9 months. I learnt that my left leg was .5” shorter after a break. As far as I can tell there has been no reduction in height.
