Review: Great accessory for your cameras - I bought this along with a QR buckle base for a shoulder strap. They work great and are highly configurable. You can use them a thousand ways and there are other QR bases for things like a backpack strap and much more. I put the plate on the camera and the base on my tripod. The buckle base is attacked to my neoprene strap so I can go from strap to bare camera to tripod and back in seconds. The parts are all well-made, no plastic, all aluminum as far as I can see. I like that the plate is fairly small, small enough not to block the battery compartment on the M50. That was a big win over the plate that came with my tripod.

I recently took this camera on a trip, and it was fantastic! Having my camera on hand without needing another strap was a dream come true. The action was smooth and secure, and everyone on our hike commented on how nice it was. I wish the screw had a thumb ring for tightening, but otherwise, I can’t think of any improvements.
