I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear this product. It’s great, dewy, and gives my skin a nice glow. The only thing I dislike is it has a scent, kind of like a dessert or chocolate.

Great coverage but bad scent

I purchased this product on October 1, 2025 and yes, I'm JUST now writing a review on this product because I really like this brand and buy multiple products on a rotating schedule. I really was excited about trying their foundation and the shade matched my tone but after the first application, it smelled moldy and like dirt. I immediately washed my face and thought maybe it could be from my previously cleaned brush and thoroughly cleansed it. I then used a different brush in which my new brush smelled like mold and dirt as well. In denial, I chalked it up to it just being a "clean" formula scent and applied again and carried on with my day. When I got home and proceeded to wash my face from the day, I had an allergic reaction with tiny bumps on my face. Again, in denial I contributed it to something else. I applied the foundation for the rest of the week which contributed to an even worse breakout on my face. I finally, decided to pump some of the foundation on a makeup mixing plate and I observed what appeared to be mold in the foundation. At this time I tossed out the bottle and didn't see any breakouts after stopping usage. As I mentioned I really love this brand but I just don't think I'll purchase anymore foundation from them.

I have brought this product 4 times . I love the glow BUT the last 2 bottles were I think expired because they were chunky and watery at the same time. They also smelled . I was pretty disappointed and decided after 2 separate times of receiving a bottle like that I was done . Perhaps this company should go in and check their stock . Update : I got a new bottle since this is on auto delivery . This time the product was fresh which made me happy .

Never used smelled horrible

I think it’s a great product. It looks lovely. The only reason why I’m giving it three stars is because of the scent. Like many of the other reviews, I agree it’s strong . It’s too bad because it works well especially for the price.

I usually love Essence products, but I have tried using this multiple different ways and am just not happy with it. It offers zero hydration. In fact, it's quite drying, while also being sticky. It definitely can't be used alone all over the face. The glow is much too intense. It has a pink tint that shifts to silver and purple. Since applying alone looked awful, I tried mixing with moisturizer, but it was still far too much. It looked like I rubbed an intense liquid highlighter all over my face. I also tried applying it mixed with moisturizer, as a primer, and adding my skin tint over top, in hopes of a nice glow from within, but that also didn't look great. It's a good concept, so I hope they'll reformulate. I don't want it to go to waste, so I'll just use it as a liquid highlight on my cheekbones under my tinted moisturizer, and on my collar bone and shoulders in summer.

I really like this product, but then I like most things from Essence and I'm so glad they sell it over here in the US as this is the brand I often bought in Europe. It does leave a nice glow and a little goes a long way. I use it on my cheek bones before applying blush. So far it hasn't clogged my pores either. Great value for money and also lasts almost all day.

Odeur un peu forte mais bel effet

Oh my god! The smell! If you want a whiff of something that’s a cross between paint stripper and dirty nappies 🤢 by all means buy this. The smell is absolutely horrendous! Can’t use it, just a waste of money. A word of advice to the makers, there’s this thing called ‘quality control’ you should look into it and give it a go 🙄

Me encanta. Queda precioso en la piel aunque seas blanquita (que es mi caso). Es verdad q tiene un olor raro, pero es asi.. he ido a varias tiendas a olerlo y es igual. Tb es verdad q el olor desaparece pronto

I like it only for two reasons .first reason it's super glowy nd second reason it gives a very oily nd glowy base that is very useful for winter makeup base.but it has no own coverage.you have to add tint or foundation.it's smell is disgusting.Firstly i think it's expired date was over when i smelled it.

Es muy practico, queda muy bien, da un brillo muy iluminador. es fluido, nada de grasa, muy buena cara.
