XSEED Games Potionomics Masterwork Edition: Limited Box Set - Nintendo Switch

If you’re asking yourself, “Should I buy this?” The answer is, “YES!” XSEED did a phenomenal job with this one. Not only was the price extremely affordable, especially with all of the fun little stuff you get, but the game is honestly a masterpiece. Sure, during my gameplay there were some glitches, but they just sent out an update for the switch recently that helped with those issues. Even WITH the glitches it had, I was never upset enough to put the game down. Just make sure you save often, like you would in an RPG. I banked over 50+ hours in my campaign, and when you beat it, it turns into “endless mode” which is really cool. You get to have all of that cozy goodness without the stress of a competition looming over your head. If you’re not into cozy games (because they can get monotonous), I would still suggest this game because the characters are the best I’ve seen in a while from a game. Their backstories, their relationship progressions, their growth, ALL OF IT…it’s so worth building the relationships. And not just because of their stories, but because you get discounts from their shops too! And above all else, if you can’t find it in yourself to buy this game for all of its other great qualities, then buy it for the voice acting. The voice acting was TOP TIER, in my opinion. There were tone changes that emphasized their conversations, and the conversations were fluent, as if the actors were standing next to each other having these conversations and not just reading from a script. I read faster than they talked, but I still let the conversations play out JUST because the voice acting was that enjoyable; this was a first for me in all of my 30 some years of playing video games. Honestly, kudos to XSEED and what they have done with this game. Please give the artists and creators who made this game a raise, because I will be looking for more games specifically made by these employees. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

This is a really nice and well p;ut together special edition game, its fun and if youlike potions and business management then this is a good game. It does come with a lot of fun extras without a 60-100$ or more price tag.

I bought this without knowing anything about it. It's a deck building/ time management game. Playing the game campaign has 5 levels of competition with each getting a bit harder. The entire game is voice acted wonderfully. I was suprised by that. I don't like reading alot of dialog so it was really nice. There are alot of characters you can befriend and eventually form stronger relationships with. They have great back stories. You can send some heroes on quests and they'll bring back better ingredients to Brew your potions. Once completing the game you can continue playing and finish character stories and play for fun. I really reccomend this game. It was a nice suprise for me.

Fun game, but it lags a little on the switch. The load times and UI are slow for what is offered 3D dioramas. Devs could have easily reduced the system load by swapping out 3D background assets for 2D assets.

Great special edition with lots of extras. Got it as a gift for my wife and she loves it.

This game is amazing. It has a simple premise and is easy to play as a little time/town/business management sim however that alone doesn't define the game. First, shoutout to the diversity of the cast of characters. Representation done well! I love it. Second, the voice actors did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life. Thirdly, the graphics are just stunning. Great work on the animated scenes and the background images alike. Finally, it's fun! The story is more complex than you'd think and you have the opportunity to get to know (and romance) pretty much all the NPCs. The story flows lightly through your doings and you can achieve your goals fairly successfully. The haggle game is cute and fun when you're making sales and the whole concept is well done. Bravo!

Great game and one of my favorite publisher. Making potions so fun and satisfying. Challenges to complete and trying to make your potion store thrive! I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys sim management games such as this one.
