Bought these to hang a macrame chair in a room, worked well and feels safe and sturdy.

They are easy to install and as the lengths can be adjusted they enable extensions to other chains where circumstances require. We have used two sets in order to hang two garden swings from tree branches that are high and clear of obstructions.

These chains did the job needed to extend the height of my swinging chair. Perfect for this very sturdy

The diagram picture describes this chain as being made from "6mm thick diameter" metal wire, and advertised as rated up to max 450 Kg load. However, the actual product arrived and measures only 4.5mm diameter thickness, not 6mm as advertised!!! Given this has thinner metal wire - 4.5mm being only 75% of the advertised the diameter of 6mm, therefore has only 0.5625% of the cross sectional area, I would suspect the advertised max load of 450 Kg rating is probably somewhat less reality (!) and therefore most likely unsafe to use up to 450 Kg on this 4.5mm chain. There are 23 silver metal links in the chain, each 33mm long, spanning 600mm total length. They are made from iron, not steel. The four black carabiners though, do indeed measure 7mm thickness as advertised, and 67mm length although their black paint seems to be scratching off almost immediately from new. Of course, t's still a fairly strong metal chain which may be fit for purpose in various domestic applications, but it is not 6mm metal as advertised in the images. I'm returning this product for a refund sadly.

My hammock to my surprise was slightly to small for my stand. I was at a loss as to what to do till I saw these chains. I ordered, they came in 2 days. I locked them on to my stand and they worked! The chain with the loops makes it easy to adjust the size. They are so strong and sturdy I can relax each time I lay in my hammock knowing with confidence I am not going to hit the support base bar. Great purchase and reasonably priced. Thanks Amazon for saving the day!
