I just finished installing new sprinkler system and had an old rain bird and orbit laying around. I wasn’t thrilled about using those controllers. After doing some research, I stumbled across this RainPoint controller. I already used the Wi-Fi hose controllers and was excited to know they made a sprinkler controller too. Hooking it up is straight forward, easy to follow instructions to connecting it to the Wi-Fi, and it even used the same app. I wish the app would let you create shortcuts to turn on some zones for a set amount of time like it does for the hose controllers. I have chickens and roosters that like to go by my window early in the morning on my days off and wake me up. Sometimes it’s good to just press the pre-programed shortcut on my phone to turn on the sprinklers for a moment to chase them off. However, on a positive note, creating a watering schedule and having it connect to the local weather is nice and convenient. So far I haven't had any connectivity issues. (knock on wood) Another great thing about controlling it though the app is that I can control it remotely. It’s nice having that option. I was out of town once and my neighbor’s field was on fire. Turning my sprinklers hose on remotely prevented the spread of the fire. Having the same ability with a sprinkler system is a huge relief epically since the Wi-Fi hoses controllers are being replaced. Overall, I think this is a great purchase, its easy to use, and I recommend it.

Wow! Total game changer! My control box is downstairs, so going up and down stairs 6 times a day to change the zones manually was becoming annoying. Yes, I could have set up the programs, just always prefer to do it manually. This was super easy to install. Plug and play with the old zone wires basically. 15 minutes tops. Love the app! Gives me the history of what / when I watered. It is really fast too from the time I hit the start to when I see the heads pop up outside. Love the streamline look of the unit and the app interface. Highly recommend this unit.

This controller(Model TTC819w only works with the older Rainpoint Tuya app NOT THE NEWER RAINPOINT HOME APP. Various pages on the web say different things about compatibility some say it is compatible with Rainpoint Home, some say that it is NOT. I was only able to install and pair the TTC819w in the Rainpoint Tuya app. There was no listing under controller devices in the Rainpoint home app. Apparently , devices with model numbers that begin with "T" are only compatible with Rainpoint Tuya and those that begin with "H" are only compatible with Rainpoint Home. This caused me much confusion and disappointment. All my hose timers and moisture sensors use the Rainpoint Home app! The TTC819w is the only sprinkler controller made by Rainpoint that can control wire sprinkler valves!

I used multiple single timer on my old setup which is not really convenient. The setup was straightforward, and the app interface is user-friendly, which makes it easy to control watering schedules remotely. I did experience a small issue with Wi-Fi connectivity during the initial setup, but once I got that sorted out, everything worked smoothly. It’s been a great tool for optimizing my garden care. I can't use it. What am I supposed to be "wiring" into the controller? There is no explanation. Nothing in the instructions. One reviewer has a picture of the wiring but not to what the wires are going to.

Great product installation process was a breeze just make sure to take a picture of your old zone connectors so you can keep them the same. Love that is wifi so that I can have full control of my system. Does not take up a lot of room small and compact. Plenty of zones. Love that they offer a 5 year extended warranty.

This product does great at controlling my sprinklers automatically. It is even simple to control them manually from the app. The only negative I find with this product is that it is not set up to send me push notifications through the app whenever it runs.
