Easy setup
I've been using the non-WIFI Trendnet for years and needed a WIFI to get the signal out on the deck for the TV. Works great. My regular router was ok but this gives me 5 bars and no delays.

Great signal
Using 3 Trendnet AC adapters already, added this one because WiFi signal was weak in back yard and back of house. Now getting 5 ghz in the most difficult places. Very easy to install once I realized the LAN light doesn't come on with wireless. Plug it in, press Connect on two units, boom. Ethernet AC adapters get a bad rap. Once they work, they seem to be rock-solid stable.

Great product, and will sync to any powerline adapter
Works great and definitely recommend to anyone. Use this product and do not ever use a range extender ever again. Great speeds and we use at several businesses. Very reliable. We setup and never have to mess with them. This is definitely a cheaper solution over mesh and more reliable in my experience!

product works fine, user interface and security questionable
this product works fine. BUT the user interface and security are questionable. i have used competitors versions of this device, and their security interfaces are much better. documentation is POOR, missing data, confusing words. it took me 3 rounds with tech support to get a "straight answer" on security for multiple devices. in the end, i did get a good answer, and the implementation is fine. there is no way to confirm security, and merging another device in is pretty iffy. of course, their solution is to start over 100% if something goes wrong. i give this a ehhh minus

Just doesn't work
Having followed the instructions fully, this thing just won't work for me. Perhaps someone more tech savvy will have better luck, but I did call up the support line. They lead me though a few steps which had me position the sender and receiver units as close as possible together. Then it worked, but not in different rooms. Who knows. I was lead to believe these were plug and play... with out the need for lab technicians.

Works well for wired connection. A bit confused about WiFi
This is a dual function unit. It is basically an addition to the trendnet family of powerline adapters, with a Wifi amplifier built in as well. We are using it for both purposes in a location that is distant from our Router. It was extremely easy to set up. One of our other trendnet units is hard-connected to the router and plugged into the house wiring system. That unit is limited to 2g. That signal is readily picked up by this unit, and we can connect a Roku Soundbridge (Remember that?) by wire to that unit. We are also using it to generate a strong wireless signal in that same room so that our phones work smoothly. All fine, so far. The wireless signal appears to be limited to the 2g signal, and not to the 5g as well. At the router, the two wifi signals have different names, but this unit seems to name both of them the same, and not transmit the 5g signal at all. And yet, the 2 and 5 indicator lights are both lit on the unit. So, it is working very well as a 2g Wifi, which is really all we need, but I am puzzled about the 5g component.

All tools needed are on their website under support. Emails is best way to contact them.
I have used these adapters for cameras for years. If you have a slow connection you are probably on a bad electrical line with many connections and/ or a long distance from the paired device. When I moved into my new home I set up things up to make it run more smoothly, it would be better to have the two adapters on the same line. So I tapped into the line that led to the computer why I put the other adapter, and put in a receptacle in the basement on that same line and added 3 cameras to the Wi-Fi end of the paired adapters, and next to the computer I put the adapter with single network cable port. I have had zero issues since and super fast speed. I have seen a complaint about the plug placement, you can also attach the adapter to a 6"-12" grounded extension cord, that should help. There are some network tools on their website that will help add more adapters. I would email tech support when your ready to do this or call, once they walk you through it once you will be able to add as many as needed. You will have a tool to download and plug the adapter straight to the computer, rename all the adapters and check a couple of boxes. you would have to do that to all of the adapters. So get the help from tech support. I hope this helps. This is a great device, TrendNet has great cameras as well. POE injectors.

Good product
Wanted to strengthen wi fi signal for TV. Could not get to clone with router but it did send the signal with its own encrypted password. Like I said it is just for the TV and works great for that. But remember you need another unit to pair it with attached(hard wired) to your router.
