Worked for 2008 Ford Expedition
Installed this OEM part in my 2008 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer with automatic temperature controls. It fit perfectly and resolved the issue where the fan was stuck on high, even when I attempted to turn it off. Manual fan controls did not work either until after I installed this replacement part. When searching on the Internet, I saw conflicting information about the correct part number. Amazon also claimed this part does not fit the 2008 Ford Expedition, but thanks to another Amazon review for this part, I took the chance and everything worked out fine. This part was a perfect match to my original. Installation was not too hard, but getting to the back screw was a bit awkward. Dropping open the glove box made it much easier as I could see everything through the opening (squeeze in the back of the glove box sides to allow it to fall forward). Just push down on the small tab to pull off the cable connector, remove the defective part, then install the new part and original cable connector.

Blower speed back to normal. Easy to replace.
Blower speed was stuck on my 09 F150 platinum, this fixed it. Easy to get to and replace, worked exactly as described to repair blower speed issue. Genuine part.

Worked well for my 2008 Taurus X Limited.
The blower in my 2008 Ford Taurus X limited was pulsing continually between low and high when used for heat. Found out the existing blower motor resistor was faulty and when it got hot would cause the power going to the blower motor to fluctuate causing the fan to speed up and slow down. Was pleased to find the direct Motorcraft replacement part here on Amazon for way less than any of the auto parts stores. Part still came super fast even though it was shipped direct from the seller and not through prime. Installation was quite easy but for the Taurus X you’ll definitely want to invest in a mini ratchet wrench set as it’s pretty tight quartered where the 2 screws are that hold it in the duct system. (Behind the interior panel in the passenger footwell) Plugged the wire harness back in and it’s worked flawlessly ever since. As a Ford guy…I can’t stress enough how much better off you’ll be in the long run installing actual Motorcraft parts when things need fixing. I know they’re more money but it’s cheaper in the long run as many OEM replacement parts are made of inferior quality and don’t last as long. Would definitely recommend this product.

Works as intended - dual climate control Ford Escape 2008
Replacing this resistor was key to resolving a fan control issue in my 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. The issue was that the blower resistor allows control over the cabin heat/AC fan speed. Many people have had issues with a resistor failing and their fans only work on the high speed setting. This is because the high setting does not use the resistor and allows full power to the blower motor. In my case, the dual climate control option acted a little differently and the fans were blowing on high without regard to the control setting. Something to consider if you replace this yourself: The access area is quite tight and does not leave much room to maneuver I used a 1/4" drive ratchet with a ~2" deep socket. I didn't mark down the size, but 8mm is stuck in my head. I do not believe I could have removed the back screw with set of tools, so be aware that a deep socket is likely required. I do not believe a 3" drive extension and short socket would not have fit easily.

Works for 2007 Expedition Eddie Bauer w/ Digital Controls
Although Amazon's vehicle garage said this would not fit my 07 Expedition, it did. It worked to correct my issues with the intermittent blower operation and lack of fan speed control. From the photos, you can see that the OEM part (right) is much bigger than its replacement. The new part (left) is a genuine Motorcraft part, and fits perfectly (see 2nd and 3rd photos). Total installation time was about 10 minutes (this included the time it took to replace my wife's stuff in the glovebox. All you need is an 8mm socket or wrench. I would recommend a 1/4" drive socket or ratcheting box end wrench because the screw on the right is a little tough to reach. Not at all difficult to do. Also, I didn't need a new wiring harness. Avoid the combos that bundle this item unless you really need it. Otherwise, I would recommend sticking with the genuine stuff.

Perfect replacement and much cheaper than dealer price!
My truck blower was stuck on the highest setting no matter what I did. I had looked online about the potential cause of the problem and found a lot of posts about the resistor being the issue. I searched on the Ford parts website and was able to find it available at a local dealership. I had reserved an OEM resistor at the dealership but it was going to cost almost $150 with taxes. So I found this after searching for alternatives to the dealer price and to be able to have it shipped instead of having to go to the dealership, because... COVID ya know. This cost about $60 with free Prime shipping so less than half the cost of the dealer. I try to get OEM parts for my truck and so was happy that this is a Motorcraft part. I received it in a day or two and followed a youtube video on the installation process. It was easy to unplug and remove the bolts from the old one and install the new one. Started up my truck and success! I will say that this was probably one of best purchases I've made for a truck repair since it would have easily cost me over $200 for the dealer to repair, and $150 to do it myself with the dealer part. I'd highly recommend that if you have a Ford and your blower is stuck on high, buy this and swap it out. Makes the world of difference!!

Exact part. Wrong information. Do your homework.
My front AC went haywire (stuck on high) in my Expedition. I found several sites that told me there were other part numbers that fit my car. More than one seller on Amazon told me that. But the parts did not look right to me. I knew this because I had gone to a local Auto Parts store to buy what I needed. I had my Model and my VIN number with me. The part they sold me did not fit. It looked right but the connectors were too long. Took it back. Started over on the web since they would have to order one anyway. Because of this I had the factory original in my hand. The part was located behind the glove compartment in the dash and was a bit of a bear to reach. The seller on Amazon was Auto Parts Wholesale. Interestingly enough, when I put in my vehicle information (Brand, Year, Model and Trim), I was told that the part I am now reviewing DID NOT fit my vehicle. Well, I knew better. Why? I went to the Motorcraft website and looked up the part. Naturally, I was taken to my local dealer's site after entering my zip code (and it was the dealer from whom I purchased the vehicle). On their site I entered the VIN after entering the brand, year, model and trim. The part that came up was this one. Also, once I scrolled over the pic on Amazon's web page and enlarged it so I could see the details, the lettering on the part was precisely like the lettering on the part I was holding in my hand. There is a lesson here. Go to the manufacturer's page to get the correct part number so you are NOT misled by another seller's info. I realize that there are a lot of parts out there and it is a monumental task as a seller to get all of the info right but, that does not negate the risk of ordering the wrong part and then having to return it and start over. I would give the part a 5. I would give Auto Parts Wholesale a 5 for a price that was FAR MORE reasonable than a dealer's price. I would give them a 5 for timeliness in delivery. Overall, its a 4 because their stuff told me that this part would not fit my vehicle. Not only did it fit, it was the exact part that I needed.

Fits 2010 F150
2010 F150 platinum with the auto dual AC. Fan only worked on full blast. Go with OEM, I read that the A/M units don’t last very long or done work at all. This solved the issue immediately.

Would recommend for those with same issue
Not sure why the title says “shifter bushing”. This is in fact a YH1827 blower control module. I installed it in my 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 and it fixed the fan speed being stuck on high. Would recommend for those with same issue.
