I got these binoculars for my 9 year old cousin for Christmas and he brings it everywhere he goes. We go on lots of hikes and trails together with our dogs and he always brings it out to look at his surroundings. We've been going on the same trails so many times and even with something done so routinely, we were still able to find cool things!The optics inside were really well made. The images are crisp and clear, just remember to help your kids get used to adjusting the lenses to their proper fitting. The body itself is very well built. My cousin dropped it a few times already (he tends to have butter fingers) and they came out alright.The binoculars come with a neck strap, carrying case, instruction manual and cleaning cloth. Although the case is a nice, it's a bit more practical for him to use the neck strap since it always stays on and he doesn't need a belt to hold up the case. With that being said, it's nice to have if he does have on a belt so it can be tucked away nicely without the constant swinging.Overall, these binoculars make a great gift for young children. It can withstand falls well and the view behind them are better than many others I've tried out.
