This is a laser for a beginner, it was easy to assemble. I'm am still learning to use the laser but so far I love it, I use it to engrave some of my walking sticks that I create, I love to use it to make items for my grandkids. It's great for many materials, wood, cardboard, slate, etc. I have not tried metal but is says that you can engrave with color on certain metals,I want to try that soon. The support for this is fantastic, they respond quickly and are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this laser for beginners.

This is a great laser at an affordable price. Their customer service was very quick to respond when I was missing a part. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to get started. I wanted to cut some foam board for a model I’m working on and after 5 to 6 test passes I had this dialed in very nicely to where it was not melting the foam.

Great deal for the price. Easy to assemble. A bit of a learning curve but packed with features! I’ve been using this for a few months now and have put maybe 20 hours of burn time into it, exclusive for wood signs or coasters. The free LaserGRBL software is pretty easy to learn but takes some getting used to.

I really hope others have liked or enjoyed this one. i have tried to make it work and there is no instrucitons on how to configure this or that, and now i have one big pille of junk in my office. i have looked at every youtube and i should of known about going cheap. i had wanted and engraver, cutter so badly to upscale by business and i wasted over 300. dollars on nothing. i should of gotten the smaller plug and play ones. now have to try to sell it to get money back to see what i can get. one big waste of time. and where is the live chat?

I will say, I wasn't expecting this to do as well as it does from some of the reviews, and I did have some issues to begin with. For starters the cut speed chart in the manual is in MM per minute, while the LightBurn program setting is MM per second. So make sure you do your conversions to get the correct speed. Other than that, assembly is very easy. Cut quality and definition are very clear. The only real drawback that i have found is that the cables do not have anything to ride on, and if not careful they will catch on the back corner and throw the cut off causing you to have to restart and watch them carefully. That is the only reason for the four star review. Will definitely be getting the Air assist to help clean up image burning and the Roller to engrave cups.
