Excellent product, great value for money

The service tank on certain Epson printers holds the waste ink from printing. As it is so infrequently changed, it may come as a surprise when the printer demands a new one as the old one is full. These are a pair of new tanks. At present rates of usage, it will be 2030 before I have to use the second one, so the spare has been carefully labelled and stored with the printer supplies. There are instructions for installing the tank, which are straighforward to follow, but always remember to switch off the electricity to a printer when working on it. There is no danger, but better safe than sorry. Following the instructions, find the service tank cover and carefully unscrew the single screw holding it in place, Do not lose the screw; put it safe. It has to come right out. Then gently wiggle off the service cover, a small moulded plastic plate. Lift out the waste tank by the handle and have some scrap paper or a bag to put it in; it is full of printer ink and inclined to ooze. Slide in the new tank, replace the cover, screw it down, replace any service flaps and cover. Switch back on. The printer does the rest, checking its tank and inks. Dispose of the old tank carefully. My local recycling centre has a special bin for printer cartridges and tanks.

La scatola di manutenzione originale per queste stampanti costa quasi tre volte tanto, quindi quando la mia si è esaurita ho deciso di provare questa versione compatibile. L'installazione è immediata: si rimuove la vecchia, si inserisce la nuova, e la stampante torna operativa senza bisogno di software o reset particolari. Dal punto di vista costruttivo sembra solida, la plastica è di buona qualità e le guarnizioni sembrano tenere bene. La capienza dichiarata è la stessa dell'originale, e dopo alcune settimane di utilizzo non ho notato perdite o comportamenti anomali della stampante. Il prezzo è decisamente accessibile rispetto all'originale, e questo è il punto di forza principale. Se lo usate in modo intensivo, potreste dover cambiare la scatola più frequentemente del previsto, quindi tenetene un paio di riserva. Non aspettatevi la stessa qualità costruttiva dell'originale, ma per un uso normale funziona egregiamente. In conclusione, per chi vuole risparmiare senza rinunciare alla funzionalità, questa è una scelta sensata. Il rapporto qualita-prezzo è ottimo.

Ero un attimo preoccupato perchè stavolta la spedizione è stata meno accurata del solito dato che come si vede il pacchetto è arrivato schiacciato e rovinato e avevo paura che anche il contenuto fosse danneggiato. Fortunatamente invece il contenuto era rimasto illeso e così ho potuto sostituire la cartucca di raccolta della mia stampante che ormai segnava piena. Per la sosotituzione ho utilizzato il manuale della stampante e seguito passo passo le istruzioni come per quella originale. Non ho avuto problemi di sorta, una volta sostituita la stampante ha ripreso a funzionare senza intoppi ed il chip ha fatto il suo. Decisamente più economica dell'originale, questa scatola di raccolta è top, e ne ho ordinata già un'altra da tenere di scorta per quando anche questa sarà piena.
