Straightforward Setup, Works Well, and the Info Display is Great!
I use this as hotkeys for a programming environment. I was able to add hotkeys for editing files, syntax check, compiling, debugging, etc. There are lots of options in the program used to set up the keys, but it only took a short while to figure it out. There are third-party plugins and icon packs available that can be installed in the setup program. I used one plugin and it worked well. I really like the "Info Display" feature, which is three additional displays (not buttons) that can show date/time, weather, and computer status such as CPU load, temperature, memory and disk usage, etc. I think this is a capable alternative to the Elgato Stream Deck with some additional features and a lower price.

It works, but hard to find the software for it.
It works, can launch apps, have folders of different layouts. side "bar" is just a display. I knocked off a point for two reasons, software wasn't as easy to get as following what it tells you in the book. The link it gives you is a blank page. Tried it in both Chome and Edge. Second reason, even though the stand is removable, you have to us the stand, because the cable plugs into the bottom, so you can't lay it flat. I got the app by looking at various youtubs videos and finding one the had a link to all the drivers and finding it among that mess.

Its not an elgato, but it is a good budget option.
Like my headline says,it is definitely not the name brand you want, but if your not looking for a market full of pay apps like elgatos plugins for their stream deck can have. This is for you,it can use some of the scripts and set ups the elgato would, being able to import them, but buttons cant display animated icons or reactive so its more useful as a short cut or hotkey dock. Ive sat up plenty with this,i use it to make scene transitions and manage my streams from hotkeys, in my downtime im able to use it to control spotify to pick playlists, skip songs etc. Theres even some soundboard functionalities. If your looking to use it for gaming, i just wouldnt. There are 0 presets so you are making all your set ups, and the options for games it works with would be anything with kb hotkey presses really, but for creators i think its an alright add on the budget. Also bare in mind, i know i left this at the end, but being its not elgato,it does use its own "ajazz" software, ive used it for months though with out any viruses or issues to impact on performance.

Don't Buy It
The A.JAZZ AKP153 Stream Studio Controller is simply not worth getting. You are forced to use their software for the device. The available plugin's within their software is limited and even then most them don't work correctly. Some of them even freeze the device forcing you to unplug it and reconnect the device. I noticed the A.JAZZ AKP153 Stream Studio Controller device has like a 2-3 second delay. When it comes to updating what is displayed on the screen. I don't recommend buying the A.JAZZ AKP153 Stream Studio Controller.

I Really Wanted to Like This
I wanted to like this clone of the Stream Deck (not to be confused with the Steam Deck) as it seemed like a cheap(er) clone of the 15-button version 2 (50% cheaper if bought on sale), but it has some major flaws that I couldn't overcome to like it -- it may work for your workflow. For starters, the official Elgato Stream Decks are relatively simple in their build featuring an LCD panel, controller chip, a rubber membrane (for the button spring action), and a resistive film .. that's it. Nothing magical to it, each "button" is just a section of the screen graphically, but they are not individual screens as some may think. This configuration allowed the device to do what other devices in the past could not -- have changeable button graphics without the huge expense associated with individual mini-panels, while also giving the tactile feedback that users desired (compared to just using a tablet). This allowed Elgato (now owned by Corsair) to command the market and set the price. The AJazz device is constructed the same way (see attached screenshots), almost like it came out of the same factory in China. The software you use to configure the display appears to be a clone of the Elgato software version 5, hence why the Elgato plugins work if you know how to copy them into the folder. The LCD panel seems to be of the same quality, the feedback from the buttons is pretty close to the official, and the key plastic feels good -- the only minor difference I can see is the key tops are flat for the AJazz, but have a slight concave for better ergonomics on the Elgato. The spacing between the keys are identical on both my devices. That sounds all good, so what's the problem? The fact that the majority of this devices plugin ecosystem is likely to rely on the Elgato plugin ecosystem means that Elgato has every motivation to combat this practice and I suspect that's why some reviews have said the plugin store disappeared for them. AJazz could release updates and the cat/mouse game could proceed, but given the fact that they don't even make acquiring the English version of the software as easy as it should be leads me to speculate this device won't have a long support cycle. I expect Elgato will introduce some form of DRM/license check into their plugin API's going forward (if they haven't already). The negative of this is that your AJazz device has a good probability of being limited to a specific version. But I hear you .. the price is so good, I can live with using old versions and never updating. Sure, you probably can. Functionality wise, the device seemed to perform almost on par with my Elgato as long as you're running an action from the view (e.g. your current view -> button press -> send's hotkey) you are on, but if you start getting into nested profiles and folders, the AJazz falls behind performance wise (again, I suspect this is where many reviewers highlight a "delay" issue). I measured the delay to be upwards of 1-2 seconds to refresh to a folder in some instances. In comparison, the Elgato does this in about 200ms or less. For my workflow which involves using folders/profiles as mini-menu's (think a comma-rose or flyout menu) for nested commands, this is a deal breaker for me. For someone who just wants to have 15 hotkeys on the screen, this is probably a manageable limitation. It's possible they could fix this in a firmware update, but I would not count on it. 3/5 stars for the value and build quality. It lost stars for the cumbersome way you have to acquire the software / chance you won't have long support, and the slow refresh.

Crazy versatile
The buttons are all customizable, the clicks show some durability, and customizing the buttons is an extremely easy process. It’s designed for adobe software with drag and drop, for other applications, it’s a bit more labor intensive to setup, but still relatively easy overall.

Some issues
DO NOT USE the USB cable that came with it. I was having many problems with the device, almost thought I got ripped off. It was freezing, I had to constantly restart the app or the device itself ( unplug and plug back in). Its performance was shoddy and I often missed the perfect chance to drop the right sound effect. I replaced the cable with a USB-C quality one, and plugged it directly into a USB-C port, all the problems went away. I think it has power issues with the default cable. Now it works perfect, and does everything I need it to do! Its been a blast making people laugh and/or scaring them half to death in horror games. This is an AWESOME deal even if you have to buy a $10 USB-C cable. I bought a second one for a present.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the Elgato Stream Deck and was pleasantly surprised to find that this device was capable of doing everything that I wanted out of a Stream Deck for half the price. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for the same capability but on a budget.

Product came with a scratch on the display screen out of the box. Also claims to launch applications and does none of that. It does not provide a website to download the main app to program the deck, also half in English have not in English with no options to switch. If not, using for editing or direct streaming don't bother

I don't know how the name brand decks work, but this one is pretty cool. Using the tools that the software offers can do quite a bit for you, but I have created a bunch of AutoHotKeys scripts that this can trigger as well. Now I can have buttons call the script files and do almost anything I want. So, out of the box, it can do cool stuff, but if you are comfortable with other scripting tools, the world is your oyster. It only has fifteen buttons, but you actually get much more than that by using folders and different "scenes". I haven't found the limit to the number of buttons I can use yet. It gives you a full suite of icons and backgrounds to use, but I created my own because I can never remember what icons mean; it's very easy to add your own. I only gave it four stars because someone who isn't comfortable with scripting may find it has limited functionality - but seriously, give it a try. It's WAY cheaper than the main name brand.

UPDATE: Like I said in my initial review, I would update if I start to get any issues. Well it was quicker than expected. 11 days to be exact. The screen is super dim now and there's no way of turning it up anymore. The brightness settings on the keypad itself, nor the settings in the app, do anything. The device will randomly stop working and freeze. You won't know it's freezing until you turn off your computer and it stays on with your icons showing when it usually turns off. Before it freezes (when it's super dimmed) the hotkeys still work. It's random when it just stops. It could take an hour or 2, or it can take a few minutes. Unfortunately I have tried everything. Restarting the computer, unplugging the device for a few minutes and plugging it back in, closing the software down completely and turning it back on, etc. Nothing works. Very disappointing from a product that had really good potential. I'd suggest just spending the money on the Elgato or Razer version if you want a stream deck. Before I start this review, I do want to mention something of the longevity of the product. Other reviews stated that this product worked for a bit and stopped working randomly. If that happens, I will update my review. For the review itself as of right now. I've been using this for about a week now and it has worked perfectly so far. It has done everything I've set it up for flawlessly. The product simply just plugs into a USB port on your computer and then you have to download the appropriate app to get it all set up. The app isn't the nicest I've ever used but it works and does the job well. The icons that come built into the app are very lackluster though so you will definitely want to get your own to make it prettier. The physical aspect of the device is decently built. It's a full plastic build with the buttons also being a clear plastic. It feels kind of cheap but the buttons feel good. The rubber grips on the bottom aren't super grippy but with how easy the buttons are to press, it hasn't really moved for me. The buttons easily get finger prints on them and you'll be able to see them clearly. The backlight is bright to an extent but I wish they were a little bit brighter to make the icons more vivid. There's 15 keys you can program and then an additional screen on the right side to put weather, or computer hardware monitor's on. Overall, it's light but I'm okay with the build quality. Software and usuability; The software like I stated before is okay. It's not the nicest looking software but it does the job. My only concern is that if you have a lower powered computer, it does take up on average about 500mb of ram usage. It does go down a bit when you don't have any hardware monitoring showing though. The software has OBS plugin built in, so if you're a streamer, you will be able to control your stream with the keypad easily. I don't stream anymore so I never used or tried but it seems like it's a half baked version of the elgato keypad. Still enough controls to manage the stream nicely though. The software has a lot of different options to put as hotkeys, like launching an app, website, and media controls. I personally use it more for media controls and to mute my external mic on discord. Saying that, it doesn't have discord support built in so you will have to make some macros in discord and also on the software. For example, I have R-ALT and M to mute mic, and have it set as a macro on the keypad as well. I found a nice mic mute .png icon that looks nice to compliment it. The icons that come built in are VERY lackluster. If you want to use them, they work but they're very limited and don't mesh well with the others. There's just no uniformity with the built in icons that can make it look clean and simple. You can very easily add your own though which is nice. Computer monitoring, weather and time; So, for the computer monitoring addition, it can only do CPU,SSD, and RAM monitoring. That disappointed me a bit because I would have liked to have a GPU temperature monitor on it as well. So I just use the CPU temperature monitor on it. It gives you 2 design options that honestly, both suck. One is a basic design that looks like a computer chip, and the other is a cyber punk design. Both ugly in my opinion as I like minimalistic icons. The weather seems to work well, I didn't know if it was getting my exact location and whenever I compare it to what the weather network states the temperature is, it's usually right on, or a degree off. Which is fine to me. I can still see it's scorching hot right now lol. All you have to do is select the option, type in your city and it should pop up. I typed in the province along with it and it did get more accurate. It does give you icon designs though. One simple, black and white with whatever the weather indicates, and the other is an actual picture of the sun, or cloud, or mix of the both, etc. The time sucks. Well not really, it just forces you to 24hr clock with no way of changing to 12hr. I know how to read a 24hr clock but I just don't like it and won't use it because of that. My computer displays the time on both monitors so it's not that big of a deal to me. It is a world clock and you can chose what time zone you're in. Overall; This is a great machine to help you with productivity. If you're using it for streaming, for adobe projects, ect, it'll work well for you. Or if you use it like how I use it, with just basic media controls and discord mic muting, you'll enjoy having it on your desk. Now based on what other's have said, the longevity is concerning and will come back to this if I have any issues.
