OFF THE TOP: THIS IS A PROFESSIONAL VELCRO AND IS INCREDIBLY STRONG. IT WILL NOT COME OPEN OR LOOSEN OPEN WHILE YOU ARE WEARING IT. THIS TYPE OF VELCRO IS PROFESSIONAL GRADE. AND IT IS USED ON CUSTOM BRACES. IT WILL NOT COME UNDONE UNTIL YOU ARE PULLING ON IT FOR REMOVAL OF THE BRACE. IT WILL NOT QUIT OR LOOSEN ON YOU AS YOU SEE IN CHEAPER BRACES. THE TWO SIDE UPRIGHTS PROTECTS (the uprites are sides of the knee metal pieces) THERE ARE LIGAMENTS ON EITHER SIDE OF YOUR KNEE PROTECTING THOSE LIGAMENTS THERE ARE OTHERS LIKE THE ACL for instance (ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT) THIS BRACE IS MADE TO PROTECT KNEE LIGAMENTS AND THE KNEE AS A WHOLE. THE OPENING AT THE KNEE HELPS WITH PATELLAR TENDONITIS AND DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE NATURAL TRACKING OF THE KNEE CAP. WHEN YOU FLEX OR EXTEND, THE KNEE CAP DOES NOT MOVE UP AND DOWN IN A STRAIGHT LINE. RATHER, IT FOLLOWS AN “S” CURVE. THIS BRACE DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH PATELLAR TRACKING. THIS BRACE WILL HELP WITH PATELLAR TENDONITIS, BUT TO BE PERFECTLY TRANSLUCENT, WITH YOU IF YOU HAVE TENDONITIS, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRACE…. THERE IS A VERY SMALL BRACE MADE FOR PATELLAR TENDONITIS YOU PLACE ON THE TENDON AND VELCRO IT CLOSED. THIS BRACE WILL DIMINISH YOUR PAIN BECAUSE IT Is DESIGNED TO AFFECT ALL THE LIGAMENTS AND THE KNEE AS WHOLE. . IT DIMINISHES PAIN FOR A VARIETY REASONS. CAN BE ALSO BE USED FOR ACL, PCL, AND MENISCUS PROBLEMS/TEARS. THAT COVERS A LOT. THE DESIGN IS MEANT TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN YOU AMBULATE, AND THE METAL UPRIGHTS DONT INTERFERE WITH THAT. STRUCTURALLY, THIS BRACE IS EXCELLENT. IT CAN BE WORN EVEN WHEN SITTING IN A CHAIR OR WHEELCHAIR. I WOULD RECOMMEND CONSULTING YOUR MD OR PT. THE BEST PART IS THAT THE PRICE IS EXTREMELY REASONABLE FOR THE BRACE AND SUPPORT IT GIVES ALLOWING YOU TO HEAL. MANY INSURANCES DO NOT COVER/OR ONLY PARTIALLY COVERS THE COST OF A CUSTOM MADE BRACE. THIS BRACE IS ESSENTIAL IF YOU CANNOT AFFORD A CUSTOM MADE BRACE (THEY ARE QUITE PRICEY) THIS IS WHY I AM GRATEFUL FOR NEEDING THIS BRACE OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS BRACE THAT I PRAY CAN HELP SOME PEOPLE/PATIENTS OUT MONEY WISE. AS FOR ME, MY AMBULATION HAS IMPROVED CONSIDERABLY. IT IS ALL DUE TO THIS BRACE. I ORDERED 5 OF THESE FOR PATIENTS WHO CANT GET A CUSTOM BRACE AND DONT USE THE INTERNET. I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, AND I WILL RECOMMEND IT TO THE APPROPRIATE PATIENTS, AND FOR THOSE WHO’S INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER A CUSTOM BRACE THAT THEY CANNOT AFFORD. I have spent several years searching for a high-quality, supportive knee brace following a serious accident that resulted in a titanium rod in my leg, along with ongoing knee swelling and pain. During that time, I have tried numerous brands and styles, but this knee brace has exceeded my expectations. The construction is excellent—durable, well-designed, and highly supportive—while still being easy to put on and adjust. Upon wearing it, I noticed immediate relief, including reduced swelling, discomfort and improved stability. Unlike other braces I have used, it stays securely in place without slipping or twisting, even during extended wear. I was also particularly impressed with the inclusive sizing options, which made it easy to find a precise and comfortable fit. Overall, this product delivers both quality and performance, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking reliable knee support.

This brace overall works very well. I feel confident it stabilizes my lateral movements better than just a knee sleeve. I wear it mostly around the home after playing pickleball, after icing, just to stabilize my knee. Can be used on either side. Good quality. A little larger than I wanted it to be so I can only really use it for around the home.

I have a 30yr old ACL injury coming back to haunt me as I decided to pick up pickleball. My brain still thinks I'm 20 but my bones insist otherwise. I tried several of the normal elastic braces but they did near nothing for support. I remembered the post-surgery brace I'd had after my acl and how it had metal stabilizer bars and hinges. after a short search I found the neenca brand. Its a bit more than the others butnis worth funding. It doesnt completely eliminate my concerns but certainly mitigates a lot of stress, mental and physical. It is a well made product with large strong staps. The metal hinges are well built, with no plastic gears but are behind a plastic cover. It's comfortable and when I'm playing I dont notice it. If you have a problem with hyper extension this brace may not serve your need. It does allow full movement and is designed to provide lateral support. That said, a clever person could probably figure a way to restrict the gear movement. Also, order a size bigger than the fitment chart. I ordered a large, I'm 5-11 200lb and I dont have fat knees. It fits more tight than loose. If this ever does wear out, I'll be ordering another.

This is a nice solid brace that provides excellent support for my medial meniscus tear. Unfortunately, something about the fabric digs into my skin and has caused a rash/allergic reaction with daily use. I tries fitting it over clothing and that helped a bit with the irritation but caused it to not fit perfectly. I wish there was a way to get it to stop digging into my skin, but I'm going to have to look for alternatives long term. If you're looking for something to use occasionally or don't need a tight fit then this will probably work well for you.

I love this brace. In addition to having bone-on-bone Osteoarthritis, I also tore the Meniscus on my left knee. I have a different, more complex brace to wear when I go outside (I use a wheelchair mostly), but when I am home, I prefer a less cumbersome brace. Most braces do not support my knee well enough to control the pain. I finally bought this knee brace, and I now I have a winner. Throughout the day, I may sit in a regular chair or I may have to recline on my bed, because of disability. This brace allows me to keep it on even when I am reclining on the bed. It is comfortable no matter where I sit or if I am doing "furniture walking" in the apartment. Other braces did not have enough support, but this one has a lot of support. With other braces, the velcro began to NOT stick much too quickly. This brace seems to have medical-grade velcro, which is much stronger and usually lasts much longer than retail-grade aka sports-grade velcro. The only thing with the stronger velcro is that it takes a while to learn how to use it without irritating the skin on your fingers. It helps to not pull at it with the tips of the fingers. I've learned to sort of use the sides of my fingers, and that lessens the strain on my fingers. I like that there is a double strap on the top and on the bottom, allowing me to tighten (or loosen) the brace as much as I need. My only caution is choosing the size. I measured my thigh as they said to do, and my measurement was right at the border of 2 different sizes; the max on one size and the least on the next size. Since I read one reviewer say the brace was too big for her, I decided to buy the smaller of the 2 choices. Well, it turned out to be way too small for me, not even getting over my knee! I finally reached out to the seller, even though I thought I had waited too long (busy with treatments for breast cancer & other health issues), It was the last date they allowed for returns, and it was late at night. I decided to try anyway. I sent them an email, explaining the situation. The next morning, A Saturday, they responded & said they would be sending out the larger size immediately, which they did. I had it Monday morning! The larger brace fit me fine. I wanted to wait a while before doing a review. I wanted to have time to use the brace for a while, to see how good a job it does and to see if the fabric & side hinges felt sturdy. After wearing it every day for a few weeks, I have to say I am very satisfied with it. It does not irritate my skin at any point, & the hinges feel strong and are supportive. The knee cushion is very protective, too.

Brace fits well and offers some great level support, I am coming off of an ACL surgery 6 weeks ago and just got the okay to start transitioning out of my post-op ROM brace. Was a bit hesitant as my knee is pretty weak and this has seemed to help. My only complaint is it causes some pressure/uncomfortable when my knee is in motion, right on the kneecap/patella. But my knee still has some swelling, fluid so I’m assuming it is due to the tracking, overall solid braces

I've worn these for 5 days skiing. they stay in place, which was a problem with other brands. It was recommended that you size up 1 size which I did. I ware mine over long johns, they were snug but not tight. Very comfortable and flexible with the hinge system. They are a little bulky so if you ware something over them it will need extra room, usually not a problem with ski ware. My knees felt good after skiing, I think they help take pressure off the knee joint. I would definitely recommend these to friends. Update, I've worn them for more than 15 days skiing and can say without a doubt they help keep pressure off the knee joint and I didn't experience any joint discomfort after skiing.
