Works very well as described.
Set up was super easy and straight forward. Factory paired and reconnects automatically even when power is cut then turned on. Volume is fixed at the source and controlled at the audio system on the receiver end. Receiver is connected to an old 40 year old SAE component system via analog RCA input and used the provided AC to USB power plugged into the switched outlet of the audio system so that it powers down when the system is off. Very slight delay when transmitter was connected via analog RCA output on a modern 70" Vizio TV. But no delay at all when transmitter was connected via TOS link. Transmitter is powered by the TV's USB and is only on when the TV is on. Very clean Bluetooth signal, no hiss nor noise, even when connected to the vintage sound system. Extremely happy with it.

EXTREMELY disappointing
In the beginning, it seemed to work great, though I find that I have to turn the volume up twice as loud. It used to sit around 11-12, now it's turned up to 26. The bluetooth connectivity seems okay, but every 2-3 weeks, I have to unplug the receiver to reset it, as it starts making horribly loud static. I'm tolerating it for now... but, definitely looking for something of better quality. The value doesn't match the quality. Update 7/13/24 1 year later, I am having to unplug and reset it every 2 days due to poor quality and buzzing. I'm now outside of any warranty, so I'm having to seek out something new to keep from running wires across the room. Changed rating from 3* to 1*.

NOT FOR SURROUND.
I bought this system pair to get the sound signal from my Xbox at the back of the room (connected to my projector), to my home theater system at the front of the room, about 15 feet away. It only transmits stereo signal, even using the optical TOSLINK connection. I tried 5.1, 7.1, and Bitstream. None of them work. Other than this, it worked fine, if what you need is stereo sound

Never had a problem!
Works as intended. I've owned these for several years now! I consider myself pretty passionate about audio stuff and the quality of the signal has never caught my attention in a negative way. In fact I think it kicks butt, not that its enhancing anything, I just don't notice a difference from the source audio to the destination. It does a superb job! Would purchase again if needed. Typically I have the set connecting two hifi stereo systems, more often than not for listening to vinyl records, to different rooms of a house (in this case main level to basement) or in the past to different rooms in a large apartment.

Worked great, easy setup TV to Soundbar
Setup was easy and it connected easily. The soundbar was a little wonky and my mom complained about the placement so I didn't get to use it much.

TThese units are not made well and only worked for a few minutes beforing failing
TThese units are not made well and only worked for a few minutes beforing failing. Was sent another set of hardware and both doing same issue worked for a few minutes then got distorted and failed. Replaced the optical cables and other tweaks trying to get not to fail. The sound quality was horrible and then got grainy and garbled digital sound. Would not recommend... Had high hopes but finally found another higher priced unit that works well.

Just what I wanted - if it worked well.
Set up easily, paired fine, seemingly low latency, but NOISE. Used to connect a receiver in the shop, usually just plays from a USB port, to an amplifier in a freestanding gazebo, with 4 connected speakers. Transmitter hooked to a line level output, receiver through a passive volume control to a power amplifier. Signal is just plain noisy - not in the sense of hum or other induced noise, just not crisp and clear. Amp/volume control/speakers fine with my phone as an input, another receiver wired to the same output used for transmitter input is also fine, just leaves this product. Im not really an audiophile, but can't stand to listen to this - it goes back.

Works but without some headaches
I ordered this to get audio output from a TV in my bedroom to connect to a receiver on a different floor, which controls the ceiling speakers. Ultimately got it to work but not without a few hours of troubleshooting. I went as far as to start an Amazon return and it suddenly started working. I could not get them to pair at the full distance and ended up moving them right next to each other to test. I couldnt even get this to work and the manual was of little help. I had to power cycle and reset the dang things several times before they finally blinked that they were connected. Once they were connected and I verified that they were working I was able to move it to the final destination and verified it still was paired. However, once plugged into my tv, the optical link was not working. I used the AUX option and had to change the TV sound OUT to be stereo and then it worked. It has been working for about a month now with little issue. My biggest complaint so far is the no signal noise it makes that prevents my receiver from going into sleep mode. Additionally, once you stop transmitting sound there is a pretty significant amount of electrical hum that gets pumped into the speakers. I set up a harmony hub just to control this receiver from the other floor which isn't ideal but it works and ultimately was cheaper than trying to re-run cables in the walls of my rental unit. UPDATE: I have since removed these and they sit being un-used in a drawer. They would produce so much signal noise it would turn on my receiver which thought it was receiving audio to play. Strong static hum during silent portions of a movie or when no sound is being played is what ultimately drove me away.

Work well

Sound quality not good. And it losses its signal a lot even if the device is 15 feet away from the receiver.

Connected the audio input for the Bluetooth Transmitter to the L/R rear speaker output for my A/V system. Connected the audio output of the Bluetooth Receiver to the amplifier for my L/R rear speakers. No need to run wires between the A/V system and the rear speakers to create a surround sound system. Perfect. June 21, 2021: They quit! Tried the factory reset according the instructions and that didn't fix the problem. Now I have to run speaker cables to my rear speakers for my A/V system.

Works perfectly for audio. We are in a condo so no way to run wires from one room to another. This works really well to pass sound from the living room to the kitchen.
