Hoteche 12-Inch Circular Saw 4-HP Compact Portable Table Saw with Saw Blade for Desktop Use

I rarely leave reviews but after reading some of the other reviews, I felt the need to leave one because the product may have been updated. I can't speak on the other sizes, but I bought the 12" circular saw and it has a very thick metal guard. It must have been updated based on safety or customer feedback because I was prepared not to rely on the guard but mine has a very thick and safe one. This saw is a monster and has plenty of power. You simply can't beat it at this price point. I've always wanted a beam saw but they are so expensive for the name brands and are usually 10" unless you go up to the 16" Makita. This 12" size is perfect and it feels like a $250+ dollar unit. Definitely a 5 star purchase.

Pros 1. Plenty of power. Did not big down at all cutting 3.5 inch wood. 2. Heavy , which makes it stable. Made perfectly straight cut freehand. 3. Nice two hand grips. Ruberized 4. Price! For the price its great 5. The 12 inch model comes with a blade guard 6. Carbide blade included Cons 1. Heavy 2. Blade guard is flimsy. With blade fully extended, when you put it down the weight of the saw pushes the spinning blade into the guard. Conclusion: this is not an everyday saw. If you plan on using it every day or more than once or twice a week, get a name brand saw. For occasional use this one is good. For normal 2 inch lumber, you'll want to use your 7 1/4 saw

Very strong. Has worked well the short time I've used it and a good price. Largest circular saw I have for thick lumber. Hang on tight. No data for long term use.I would do more research if this were a buy for a professional shop but it has worked well for limited applications.

The 12 inch saw does come with a blade guard as shown in the picture. No safety switch which I am happy about, having to press 2 different buttons to operate these newer saws is a pain in the neck and you probably need both hands on the saw anyway as it is a beast. At 15 amps you will probably need a 20 amp circuit breaker to operate this. These are just my first impressions as I have yet to use the saw. The price point is great I decided to try this over spending the extra $600 to $1000 to get an extra 2 inches out of a 16 inch saw. I'll update if i detect any serious problems.

well made, good power . I'd buy it again. cuts 5 inches deep with a 12 inch blade, like most circular saws; cuts less than half the blade size due to spindle and motor.

The deck is worped. This one was to replace the first one which was also worped. Will not cut correctly
