Box Contains BenQ TK800 4K Projector

Review: desertcart Warehouse - Used Like New - Received this projector at a VERY low price this month £625 from the desertcart Warehouse in a Used - Like New description, the box was unopened and no damage to it either so everything was pretty much perfect. The only problem I would say is that the power lead was a European 2 pin rather than a UK 3 pin plug, not an issue as I had one from the projector this is replacing. The image quality is superb on this and so much sharper than my previous 1080p unit. The on board speaker is actually half decent too and I would have no issue just watching a show or a film through it, don't expect booming bass, but it's not a tinny sounding mono speaker like you normally get. The remote is nice with a orange backlight glow, a stark contrast to the bright blinding blue of the Optoma remotes. Fan noise is pretty good with it only being slightly noticeable when watching anything, there is a quiet mode which literally does what it says, it does drop the brightness down though slightly. Although there are 2 inputs to the projector only one will take a 4K source so you may want a HDMI switch or run through an AV unit before getting to it. I have a switch to soundbar to projector so it works for me. Be warned that there is no image shift on this projector so you will need to get a good positioning for your screen or some good movement on a mount bracket if you use one. It does have keystone correction which is automatic and works well. Another feature of this which is rare on 4K projectors is 3D although this is only in 1080p it's still a great thing to have, you do have to manually turn this on and off, but then that's only at the start of a film anyway. All in all a great upgrade from a FullHD projector and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Review: I like what I see - Great projector with fantastic picture quality, colours and brightness - 4 stars because of heat output and some glitching in the image *might have a faulty unit, not sure yet. This is my first ever projector and I must say, coming from a 49 inch TV, this is a huge step up. I currently have it projecting 75 or so inches onto a grey wall (haven't bought a screen just yet) and the quality is pretty damn great. 4K Performance: HDR 10 bit and 4K 60hz is working great. In comparison to my Samsung KS7500, the colours are nearly as vivid. On a proper projector screen, I'm hoping it will pop slightly more however in a dark room it's fantastic as is. In a bright room the colours and contrast are lessened however still perfectly watchable - I just wouldn't advise watching a movie in a bright room as you'll miss out. For sports in a bright room, I can imagine this being absolutely fine. I haven't checked chroma 4:4:4 settings on this but if anyone needs, I can have a look into it later on. 3D Performance: This is where I drop a few points. I'm not sure overall how projectors fare with 3D peformance however I was disappointed when I found out it outputs 1080p at 24fps or 720p at 60fps in 3D. My disappointment aside, the 3D is absolutely stunning in games. I downloaded the Trine 2 demo on my PS4 Pro and was blown away at the amount of depth achievable on a stereoscopic game. The 720p 60fps is mostly fine, the 3D more than makes up for the resolution, but it would be nice to have it 1080p at 60fps if possible. 3D in film isn't as good as with games however it is fine overall. 3D in film is heavily dependent on the director whereas 3D in a game you can adjust on the fly. Input lag (gaming): The input lag for games is fine, especially if you are used to playing on a TV. I have an Agon 144hz monitor for PC gaming and I don't really notice any major delay with this projector compared to my monitor. The experience versus a monitor is quite different so of course, if you're looking for input delay timings to play CS GO, then this is not at all a good fit, but for anything else it will be fine. Between this and my KS7500 which has around 23ms input lag, I don't feel any difference with a controller. Connectivity: It would have been great if both the HDMI ports were 4K 60fps, as I have to constantly plug and unplug to switch between PC and PS4. I bought a multiple HDMI splitter so I'll be looking to use that in future if I can get it to work. Sound: Sound is fine. Better than my TVs so it'll do for a while. Bugs: I had a weird bug the other day when playing around with the HDR settings causing the projector to make odd noises and display very jigsawlike / broken images. Last about 5-10 seconds then went back to normal. Haven't had it since but I could have a faulty unit.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cinematic experience in your living room!
*by F***A on 28 December 2019*

A truly wonderful projector that creates a cinema experience like never before. There is no installation requirements, you can simply take it out of the box , place it on a table and switch on. The 4K quality is fantastic even on a plain wall, with option to use on a screen if needed. There are 3 hdmi ports however only one is 2.2 for 4K - we have used a fire stick 4K and Xbox one x with amazing results. The sound is great even at low so can only imagine what it would be like at higher levels. I would pick this rather than a TV for the same price based on its flexibility and ability to create that cinematic experience inside your own home. The projector is lightweight and looks great, I have yet to test the 3D feature but would be surprised if it did not meet the expectations when everything else has exceeded them.
