Used this on a ductless mini-split install. I specifically chose the 7.2 CFM model to ensure I could pull a deep vacuum on a short line set using a 3/8" SAE connection. The pump pulled down below 100 microns extremely quickly and had no trouble getting into deep-vacuum territory. For a DIY install, this was well worth the price. Oil changes were straightforward, startup was smooth, and it ran consistently without excessive noise or heat. Paired with proper hoses and a micron gauge, it performed exactly as needed for a clean evacuation. Obviously this isn’t meant to replace commercial shop equipment used all day long, but for occasional installs or homeowner work, it does the job very well. If you size the pump correctly, use cores-out evacuation, and verify with a micron gauge, this pump is more than capable of delivering professional-level results for a mini-split.

Very well built VAC PUMP, well packaged, plenty of oil and fairly quiet running noise. It pulled a vacuum in good time. I would definitely buy this pump again if the need ever arises.

The pump arrived packaged well and oil free. I’m guessing based on reviews there were some at some point that the supplied oil leaked from the bottles? Comes with enough oil to fill to recommended level plus enough to change it at least once-possibly twice. Worked great vacuuming the a/c system on my 2015 Dodge Durango which was my first ever attempt at recharging auto a/c on my own after replacing the condenser which was taken out by road debris getting through the grill. No complaints on the vacuum. Seems to be a solid unit, appears built well, and operates as if it’s well made too. I bought the bigger two stage in case of a need for other possible applications in the future.

Very happy, pulled negative vacuum very quickly, and it's QUIET, at least compared to the 1.5cfm little guy I rented from the auto parts store one time.

Skeptical at first due to the price. I don't know if it would hold up to someone doing service daily. But worked like a champ, have used it multiple times and pulls a quick vacuum coupled with 3/8 hose

I chose the product for price, and got the manufacturers largest HP and CFM rating available. The last pump I purchased (different manufacturer/marketer) was a single stage lower HP and would not pull a vacuum beyond about 22inHG. I expected this pump to pull hard and do it quickly, but am very disappointed. It is currently attached and has taken as long or longer to reach ~21inHG. I have a good set of snap-on gauges and I know the automotive AC system is tight as the leaks were identified and repaired and the single stage pump, which stalled out (note above) held a vacuum for almost 24 hours without loss. Regretfully this pump is going back. Look elswhere for a pump that will do what you need. Not considered in the review was the delivery time. Amazon has taken to advertising delivery "tomorrow," that didnt happen either. The item was delivered by Amazon, but a day llate.
