The directions are both terrible and inaccurate. They state that the black ended cord is for "all other laser engravers" and the white ended was only for their specific brands. After trying the black cord over and over and getting a jumping rotary, I decided to try the white cord just on a whim before I returned it. It worked. I got it installed, made the adjustments and engraved a pen blank as a test.
