This book is full of very useful information for research purposes, I would recommend it, great book for the price. It’s not like a conventional Haynes manual though so if you’re looking to change a fuse on your very own 97T it won’t help :)

Visually stunning. Justice done to the best (looking) JPS liveried Lotus car. I have the full set of Haynes Lotus manuals and drool over this one.

Best book on the subject without paying for deluxe binding and lack of text. This book has enough photos, history, and engineering drawings to satisfy any gearhead.

I reluctantly give this book a mixed review, not because of the writing and information presented, but because of the quality, or lack there of, of many of the color photos. Very many of them are so dark that most of the detail is totally lost; it simply can't be seen. Almost all of the poorly reproduced photos are credited to one source, "John Townsend, F1 Pictures." Yet many other photos are fine. So I'd have to guess that the dark ones were of a type of original print or slide from Townsend that simply did not get reproduced correctly. This problem is especially problematic since many of the cars shown are painted black (the gorgeous John Player Special black overall scheme with gold trim). This is a shame because other than the way the photos were done, I liked the book. If the dark photos could be either reproduced better, or replaced with better shots, I'd recommend the book.
