This was a Christmas gift for a family member (my husband) with whom we share the same vehicle. I carefully read ALL the reviews about this product before purchasing it, both good and bad (and in-between as well). I was optimistic this dashcam would be a good choice, especially for the lower price point and with features only found on much higher priced dashcams. I must've gotten one of the duds! Installation was a breeze with great instructions. This was NOT connected to the fuse box which would require additional purchase in order to bypass the power cord for 24/7 "parking" monitoring. We just installed with the power cord hanging under the rear view mirror until we were certain it was what we wanted, then we would have purchased the kit for permanent mounting with constant power via the fuse box but it failed before that step was ever an option. I'm glad we didn't install it as a permanent dashcam since it would have been an additional expense for nothing. Camera on this dashcam seems to record absolutely amazing quality pictures and videos (when it did work for a week) but since Installation there seems to be something that's gone completely wrong because it has gone from being a great dashcam to an annoying piece of useless equipment! The dashcam has never been in the vehicle with any accidents, it hasn't been dropped nor exposed to extreme temperatures either. It hasn't been touched since installation where it worked great for a week but now this ANNOYING voice keeps repeating "VIDEO LOCKED" ......"VIDEO LOCKED"......"VIDEO LOCKED". I removed the SD card which was purchased along with this dashcam as a suggested purchase addition that was recommended for this dashcam (Samsung SD card) so I tried removing the SD card that was purchased with this dashcam and put in one that was also new but had never been used. I unplugged the dashcam from the power cord and even uninstalled the app, then started over as if doing installation for the first time. Still the same annoying "video locked" voice every few seconds at random "cluster events", even with the vehicle sitting still! I assume it's somehow glitching as if it's been involved in an accident or "event" since apparently that's when a video will automatically lock on this unit, yet this has never been in any accident nor anything remotely silimiar to what it could possibly conceive as an "accident", such as stopping suddenly or abrupt and fast acceleration. There's been absolutely nothing that this unit could have interpreted as an "accident" or "event" that would prompt the unit to "video lock" so often and so randomly. Since it was bought the beginning of December 2023 for a Christmas gift for a family member (my husband) and it wasn't installed until February 2nd, 2024, the window for returning it has long since passed. Lesson learned! I've spent far too much time on trying to "fix" this issue with basic troubleshooting, all to no avail, so this will be tossed into the electronics recycle bin since it's useless as it is. I'm glad it wasn't over $50 but still it's a loss nonetheless! Perhaps I just got one in the bunch that has a manufacturing defect, which happens and it is totally understandable, but it is what it is. I can't in good conscience leave a 5 star review when this unit is malfunctioning. It may very well be an awesome dashcam, as so many people have reviewed as such, but for our family, getting a few days of incredible video footage when this did work well, to a week later having it fail, it just isn't worth a 5 star review, sorry. It would have been great to have the experience like so many others have reviewed with this dashcam, but ours just wasn't a good experience. It was great for a week, even night vision video was mind blowing for the price of this little dashcam but not just for a week of use. Into the electronics recycle bin it goes.

I’m very satisfied with this dash cam. The QHD 1296P video quality is very clear, and even at night you can still see details pretty well. I also like that it’s compact and discreet, so it doesn’t take up much space on the windshield and was very easy to install with the included adhesive mount. The cable is long enough for a clean setup, and the car charger is included, so it’s basically ready to use right out of the box. The recording is smooth, and the wide-angle lens captures a great view of the road. For the price, it feels like a very high-quality product. Perfect for extra safety while driving or for having evidence in case of an accident. I definitely recommend it.

I should've saved the photo I took with it. But essentially, despite the price (of being only $29.99 at the time of writing this message, WITH a $10 coupon available!), this is actually the very best clear picture dashcam I've EVER owned to date, and I've tried HUNDREDS of them at this point! Even some that cost well into $100, even close to $200 in price! So I don't know if I've just been having had this entire time or what, but I was VERY satisfied with how clearly I could read the license plates and how HD the picture actually looked! And it doesn't have any bloatware either! You just power it on and you're good to go! The app that comes with it is ACTUALLY in English (You'd be surprised to know that not all English webcams actually have English interfaces), and it's easy to use and has a ton of useful features! Essentially it fully operates through the app, and you can view live picture from your phone as well! It records in great quality, is plug and play, easy to setup, and cheap! You can't get better than that! If there was ONLY a model of this dashcam that had BOTH an interior and exterior facing camera, then my life would be complete! Then I'd use it for my front dashcam as well! (Currently it's only holstered onto the rear windshield!) Oh yeah, and the sticking quality is great! And I love the flexibility of it when moving it around as well! I have no complaints or ANYTHING bad AT ALL to say about this dashcam! It truly is worth every penny! Make a model with BOTH a front and rear camera in the future, and you'll have a loyal customer purchasing it on day one of release! Hope this review helps!

When looking at dash cams, I was focused on getting a cam that I didn't need to think about working when I got in and out of my car. Just get in and go and know that my drive is being recorded. This cam has been exactly that for me. The looping feature is great and the 256GB micro SD card stores more than enough video even in the highest quality. The mounting system has been great and is not even noticable behind my rear view mirror. When starting the car, there is an audible "recording has started" from the camera (which you can turn off). This is great because I know the product is working. The app is not on the same tier as your multi-million dollar companies apps, but its easy to use and its very easy to watch your clips and save them to your phone. I am using an iPhone 15 for reference. Would definitely recommend this dash cam at the price point!

Absolutely disappointed with this purchase. The product listing claims it comes with an SD card. Mine did NOT include one. It also heavily advertises WiFi connectivity and compatibility with the VeeCar app, but getting it to actually connect has been a complete nightmare. There are little to no clear instructions on how to enable WiFi, connect the device, or troubleshoot connection issues. I spent a ridiculous amount of time pressing buttons, resetting the device, and searching for answers, only to get nowhere. If the app connection works at all, the setup instructions are so poorly explained that the average customer is left completely frustrated. A dash cam should be simple: plug it in, set it up, and use it. Instead, this has been confusing, misleading, and a waste of time. Would not recommend unless you enjoy playing detective with vague instructions and missing accessories.

First, let me start off by saying that Veement's customer service is great. This V200 dash cam comes with a cigarette lighter charger, which I can't use in my car. I sent a message to the seller and received a reply in less than 24 hours with a solution. This is where the kudos stop. As far as the actual product and included accessories, 1) The adhesive on the electrostatic film barely sticks to the car glass. 2) The adhesive on the camera mount holds about as good as a piece of scotch tape so the camera keeps falling down either way 3) The VeeCar app must be continously open on your phone without any interruptions in order for the camera to record. This means if you receive a text or respond to a text real quick the recording stops. 4) The device's internal WiFi, which you must use, doesn't allow any other connections at the same time. So, you won't be able to stream music on your phone & listen to it via your car speakers. You won't be able to use bluetooth. You won't be able to use GPS. 5) The picture quality is just ok but definitely doesn't seem like the advertised 1440P (or 1080P). If you never need to use your phone for anything while you're in your car, this dash cam might work for you (if you find a way to get it to stay on your windshield or rear window). My advise to others is to keep searching for something better, and pass on this Veement V200 2.5K 1440P car camera with app & WiFi CONTROL (ASIN B0CKQDK7J1). This ain't it!

Power adapter came damaged. Problem was corrected by Amazon rep. Set up was quite easy. Nice small size. Used an aftermarket USB to USB-C cable and it worked fine.

Very misleading ad , pictures show the Dash cam with AV port to plug in a second camera, it doesn’t have a port The pictures also shows that it has a direct battery and fuses box connection, it didn’t have that, it has a lighter port to type C Very disappointed with the received product

Ordered 2 of these and will order one more. Could not get my Samsung to work with the cams but no big deal as I do have an I phone that works great.
