SUPERBEAT: XONiC - Nintendo Switch

Not much to say about this game except that fans of other rhythm games, especially the DJMax series, will get a kick out of Superbeat Xonic. The best way to know if this game is right for you is by looking up videos of different songs of the game on Youtube. If you think it looks too hard, don't worry. The game gets you up to speed with a tutorial and the lowest difficulty setting is manageable by most players. Although I gave the game five stars and fully recommend it, I do have some minor gripes that keep me from 100% enjoying the game. The biggest is the color-coding of the notes. In 4 trax this isn't an issue since the top notes are blue and the bottom green, but in 6 trax the top and bottom row are both green, leading to some confusion when doing extended combos involving lane switching. To keep things simple, I would like an option to change the colors of the different notes, much like in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX. My only other complaint is that songs don't have a retry option after you've completed them. This isn't a major issue, but it would making redoing a song over and over again a bit less of a chore. Anyway, please don't let these criticisms dissuade you from purchasing Superbeat Xonic. It's still an excellent rhythm game and what I would consider the absolute best on Switch at the moment. Casual and hardcore players alike will find a lot to love here, so don't pass this game up if you're itching for some rhythm action.

If you are a fan of rhythm games, this is a must have! It's fun and unique. For the switch, I ended up buying an 8-bit Do controller so that my thumb sticks were in the same location on both sides. I found myself struggling with the Nintendo joysticks for parts of the game that required them because one is up on one side and lower on the other and I kept wanting to reach down on both sides. Not a big deal but I found the game easier with a regular controller. Also, I sometimes find the difficulty to be a bit high. The easy songs are decent but the medium songs can be challenging and the harder ones I find impossible (but that's just me!) I love the game though and if you're a fan of rhythm games you'd probably enjoy it too.

I'm surprised how much i like this game! I'm a big fan of rhythm games in general and play a lot of them, but I'm usually very hard to please. This game is great! I know it's a spiritual successor to DJMAX, and it mostly lives up tp that, but it's honestly a bit easier and not as customizable, which is the only downside imo. I'd love to able able to change note skins. The songs are for the most part fantastic and super catchy. I'm overall super satisfied!

This is a really cool music/rhythm game. The menus have that splashy, hyper-attract mode like you'd find with an actual full sized music/rhythm arcade cabinet from Japan. The selection of music tracks is pretty wide: j-pop, metal, hip-hop, house, RnB, etc. The problem I have with Superbeat Xonic is that the difficulty spike comes quick and it's severe. After an hour I began play medium difficulty, 4 trax songs...and I just couldn't keep up. Even on the lowest difficulty setting, it quickly became nigh-impossible to simply enjoy the music.

I love this rhythm game. Has a bit of a challenge to begin, but gets easier the more you play and you can quickly get into it. A ton of songs, and a great variety of genres that anyone could find a song that they will like. Highly recommended!

Not a good game at all

Very cool music rhythm game with incremental challenges that keep me coming back. This game is a great game to pop in the switch and play a few songs back to back to kill a half an hour. This is a rhythm game in the same category as DDR and guitar hero.

Un muy buen producto además del precio qué esta mucho más barato que en formato digital y además el producto lo enviaron en muy bien protegido y mejor aun llego muy rápido, sin duda recomiendo al 100 el producto y al vendedor

Es un buen juego rítmico que puedes jugarlo tanto por la pantalla táctil como con los controles. es un poco difícil adaptarse, pero presenta una buena curva de dificultad. Es muy entretenido si te gusta este genero. Dato curioso, es que aquí en amazon lo puedes encontrar mas barato en físico que en la eshop.

Me encantan los juegos de ritmo y este ayudo a calmar mis ansias en lo que salia DJ Max, para el Play 4... Me encanto bastante su selección de musica, aunque es pesimo sus DLC... no los recomiendo, no lo valen.
