I had high hopes for the ECOVACS DEEBOT T30S, but after less than two years, it has become almost completely useless. Despite regular and thorough maintenance, it no longer performs basic cleaning tasks well at all. Instead of picking up pet hair, dust, fuzz, and dirt, it mostly smears debris around the floor. Some of the most frustrating issues besides the fact that it doesn’t pick up anything is the constant “side brush tangle” error. It will announce this at least 10 times while vacuuming a single small room, even when there is absolutely nothing tangled in the brush. I have replaced the side brush multiple times, cleaned the unit thoroughly, and the problem still continues. A big issue is the battery doesn’t last long enough to vacuum 3 small bedrooms any longer before having to pause cleaning to charge. I had high hopes of using this while I was away , however that is impossible due to it getting stuck for no clear reason, and the side brush error pausing the task. For the price, I expected much better reliability and longevity. Unfortunately, this vacuum has become more work than help, and I would NOT recommend it based on my experience.

Bought this a year ago and, in general, I LOVE her (I named mine Debbie the Deebot). BUT I am having to order new mop pad plates because the small strip of velcro hook that goes around the outer edge of the mop pad holders fell off, will NOT reattach, and ecovacs does not offer replacement stick-on velcro strips! I hope this new set of plates keeps their velcro on longer, because although I knew I would need to replace dust bins and mop pads and filters, etc, I did NOT think I would have to replace one of the "permanent" parts of the robot - certainly not after less than one year's use!

TDLR is: their connectivity is awful. I've had to reconnect all three of these things to my wifi at various points because they keep permanently losing connectivity. Ok. So I've bought three of these things at different points. One foor each floor. And I'll start off by saying: hardware wise these things are some of the best robots I've had, and I've had IRobot and Eufy vacuums before ranging from cheap to equivalent to these. The carpet cleaning and mopping are all pretty good, relative to robots anyway. They map the floors pretty well and the app has some pretty handy features. But good God, if you buy one of these expect to go permanently offline very frequently, like several times a year. Doesn't matter if your other Wi-Fi devices are still connected. Doesn't matter if you turn the robot on. You'll need to push the little Wi-Fi button and go through the setup process a BUNCH of times. Everytime the robot is inactive or gets stuck for a long period (like while you're at work) it'll permanently disconnect. It's so dumb. I didn't leave this review until I had accumulated three of these things at different times. Thought: maybe it's just the one unit? Ok no maybe bad luck and it's both units? Nope, it's all three. If they can fix this ridiculous issue I'd probably flip this to 4 star. They still get a -1 star because their support portal has to visibility into the app so you need to copy and paste things when they could just solve this with better interoperability between their own applications!

Did well for about 8 months battery died and had to replace it after 14months bought a thin carpent like 1/4inch thick and it losses the mop pads going over it so now I have had to turn mop feature off since the pads come off going over my living room rug. I have replaced every part on it for the required maintenance which isn't cheep. Not worth the money will be trying a diffrent brand when getting the next robot vacuum.

The vacuum/mop itself is great. Works well, and magically avoids spreading dog puke all over the floor when you're ot paying attention, especially when well lit. Not as smart as I'd like; often starts remapping home randomly, or just does something weird. Like, you'll tell it to return to station in the middle of something, and it's only 2 feet from the station, and it will inexplicably roam the entire house. The brain is so bad, for the money, that I would have given this product only 4 stars, except for the customer service. My battery sensor came loose/broke, so the vacuum would no longer charge. I contacted customer service outside business hours, received an email promptly the next day. They asked for a screenshot of the amazon invoice and a picture of the broken sensor which I sent, and within a week they shipped me a new vacuum. No fuss, no muss, they just fixed my problem. Amazing service, which more than makes up for the occasional "SQUIIREL!" behavior of the vacuum.
