Travel Smart: Reliable, Strong, Roomy Packing Cubes
I purchased six Thule compression cubes for a three-week international trip, and I couldn't be more impressed. These cubes performed exceptionally well, even under the pressure of being overstuffed. The zipper was sturdy and didn’t give out, a big relief considering how much I packed into each cube. I’ve compared these to top brands like Eagle Creek and some cheaper alternatives, but none matched Thule in fabric quality and compression effectiveness. Made from 100D nylon, these cubes have a strong, resilient material that is both durable and water-resistant. The “100D” refers to the denier, a measurement of fabric thickness, and in this case, the Thule cubes strike a perfect balance between durability and lightness. The fabric’s strength really stood out during my trip. One of the best features was how perfectly the cubes fit into my Thule Charm 70L bag. I was able to fit four fully packed cubes and still had room for shoes and a cosmetic bag at the top and sides, maximizing every inch of space. These cubes are on the pricier side, but they’re worth every penny. In my experience, no cheaper alternative has come close in terms of compression ability and overall quality.

Perfect Packing Cubes
LOVE these packing cubes. They hold so much, and they compress right down. They are made out of quality materials, and I could not be happier. I even think I will be ordering more. I've used them 4 times and they look good as new.

Great item, well worth the price
These are great compression bags. Compared to some other brands, they zip up very easily to compress, even when they’re filled full. Solid construction and so far they’ve held up across multiple trips. In the future if I need more I will only buy these.

Effective, well made
I have used packing cubes before, but not compression cubes. The 'packing' ones turned out to be pretty useless because I had better ways of bundling stuff in suitcases. These compression packs, though, are pretty great. The best size depends a lot on the trip. I found that the two sizes I have these in were both handy on my last trip. What I do usually is roll items up so the pack is pretty full, then zip closed, then do the compression zip. If I've done it right, the compression zip can be a bit of work. The zippers are strong though and when you get it zipped down, the contents are quite compressed. These seem well made and I expect to get a good number of trips out of them before they wear out.

Stronger than cheaper versions. More structured than Eagle Creek
I have a couple of cheaper brand compression cubes including Gonex and Suited Nomad (both of which are of similar quality) but the Thule one is much stronger as it ought to be at the higher price point. The zippers are quality items too and zip easily. I also own Eagle Creek Spectre compression cubes and the big difference between them and the Thule is that the Thule is more structured and made of a heavier weight fabric. I consider Thule and Eagle Creek are the best brands that are readily available and are similarly well made and strong but the Thule feels like it will last forever but it is heavier if this matters.. The Eagle Creek will undoubtedly last too but i feel its like comparing a winter weight jacket with a summer weight one. If you're not familiar with packing cubes and compression ones in particular they are an efficient means of packing so that you can put things like underwear, socks and shirts etc in cubes which makes it easy if you are moving around. Whilst you can cram stuff into them unless they are fairly stiff material you are not going to gain much extra storage. Now compression offers a further refinement in taking a standard cube and by using a zipper around the middle of the bag to compress the items within and save more space. When some people say the compression doesn't help much they are invariably trying to compress items that won't squish down like cotton button-up shirts or shorts but if you use them to compress soft materials like t-shirts or sweatshirts they work really well. An obvious point but the weight will not change with compression!

Flexibility vs. Structure
These seem like good quality cubes and I love that the top piece opens fully, unlike many other compression cubes. The zippers also seem strong and smooth. However, these have what feels like a piped edge around the top that makes it not quite as flexible. This might be a small thing for some but for me it's important to be able to squish the packing cubes in my suitcase or backpack and that requires a little more flexibility around the edges than these allow. If you like more structure, these would be great. I just need flexibility over structure. Otherwise they are great.

Holds so much worth the price
These packing cubes have an amazing amount of room. The larger of the 2 fits comfortably, a pair of pants, 2 pairs shorts, 3 shirts, 3 socks. The smaller is perfect for the rest. Underwear , toothbrush, razor, deodorant, toothpaste, cold, etc. The material is strong and holds up to traveling. The zippers are smooth and have an attachment to hold on to which makes closing much easier. I use these weekly for a 2-3 day trip with a gym bag.

Packing Asset
These cubes are great. This is the second time I've ordered them--this one was for a Christmas gift and I wound up keeping it for myself! The storage capacity even on the smaller one, which this is, is amazing. I thought I would use the larger one more, but it turns out to be this one that I use more and wished I had another one. So easy to compress--just zip the second zipper and voila!, the fat package is skinny! Plus, it has clean lines and isn't garish as some of the packing cubes are.
