I can sense a slight stickiness to the paddle when hitting which offers good control of direction and spin, instead of just pop off of the paddle like the thinner paddle (14mm or so). The shape is also unique, one of a kind, with the head slightly bigger. It kind of looks like a fan. I am a sucker for weird looking paddle. Price wises it is comparable to my other favorite paddles. I have purchased more than 10 paddles, and I only get 3 that I will play with. After all the trials, now I know my preference is with thicker paddles, 18mm or above. So, find your own preferences.
