I like paper maps.
Doesn’t require WiFi or internet signal. Doesn’t tell me it needs to recalculate. Still requires some skill to fold up but being old school I like them for planning. Sure some roads are out of date but I can live with that. A very good map.

A paper map is handy for a road trip, and this is a good one
Easy to read, easy to fold, and has area blow-ups, which were handy. When you go to another state, where the satellite maps for your phone are unusable due to no connection, then a paper map is a great back-up!

This is a good sized road map with good details. If you like to plan out your trip using a paper map, this is a great value.

Easy to read
Hard to get old fashioned road maps. My husband asked for them as a gift and was quite happy.

Expected heavier paper and the map is two-sided
My orientation in this world is very visual; I need to see the "big picture" on an actual map rather than use my phone exclusively on a road trip. (I know, sooo old school!) Rand McNally is such a recognized brand, I figured this map would be perfect. I expected the paper to be heavier, especially for the price. And, this is just me...but I would rather have the entire state on ONE side of the map rather than flipping it over to see the southern part of the state. Doing so interrupts my visual field because I have to locate the highway or route all over again. I don't particularly care if the map has to be smaller to accomplish this. This map will work, but I should have looked at the layout more carefully before buying.

Maps are good !!
Who uses maps anymore? Well maps are good. They gives the big picture - how things are laid out ,distances between cities, etc. There is nothing quite like a Rand McNally map to help one understand an unfamiliary city, state, country.
