Kelly Kettle has always had the best Camping Gear to boil water Ultra Fast and cook for long periods of time - Now it has The Best Whistle to let you know when your water is boiling! Made from high temperature silicone with an easy to attach clip. Fits Kelly Kettle Base Camp and Kelly Kettle Scout models. (DOES NOT FIT TREKKER MODEL) Chain NOT included. Instructions for use: 1. Slightly under fill the kettle with water. Fill it at least a half inch (15mm) below the water spout. 2. Place the GREEN Kelly Kettle whistle LOOSELY and GENTLY into the water spout of your Large or Medium kettle. ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE ARROW IS POINTED DOWN TOWARD THE GROUND, as this will direct any escaping steam safely downward. 3. DO NOT press the whistle into the spout so it becomes stuck. We want to be able to easily remove it when the kettle has boiled. 4. Boil your kettle as you normally would (please refer to the instruction leaflet that is provided with each Kelly Kettle). 5. When the water has boiled and the whistle begins to sound, remove the kettle from the fire base and place on level ground. ALLOW THE WATER TO SETTLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 MINUTE BEFORE REMOVING THE WHISTLE FROM THE SPOUT. To remove, hold the handle of the kettle with one hand. Then with your other hand, place your index finger in the split ring and your thumb on the opposite side of the whistle. Gently lift the whistle away. Never use a jerking motion or excessive force to remove the whistle. 6. Follow the instruction leaflet (supplied with your Kelly Kettle) on the correct way to lift and pour the kettle. 7. Enjoy your amazing Kelly Kettle knowing you have the best camping kettle AND the best whistle made for the outdoors or for any emergency. Great product
I used this to replace the older non-vented version. Works great as I don't have to worry about overboiling and blowing the kettle up lol.

Works just like you'd expect...
Works perfectly. Lets you boil water without having to 'baby-sit' the kettle. Perhaps not as loud as it could be, nonetheless it's still perfectly functional.

The kettle should have come with this whistle. The stopper is nice if you carry the kettle loaded with water, which I don’t. I’m concerned that it will fall over and spill. I like that the whistle keeps the opening covered while heating the water. Without the pour spout covered, ash and debris can fall into the water while heating it to a boil.

Bought my kettle before these were standard.
My kettle came with just an orange plug instead of this whistle so I had to buy it separately. I'm glad to see that they are including these with the kettles now because they should have had these all along. Seems to work alright and although it says it doesn't come with a chain they sent mine with a chain.
