Crystal-clear audio, huge storage, and truly voice-activated, perfect everyday recorder
I bought this DISTANCEE 64GB recorder to replace using my phone for meetings and lectures, and it’s been outstanding. Setup took seconds and the one-button record is foolproof. The voice-activation works exactly as promised... it starts when someone speaks and pauses in silence—so I don’t end up with hours of dead air to scrub through. At 1536 kbps the audio is crisp and natural, and the noise reduction does a great job cutting room hum and background chatter. It even picked up voices clearly from the other side of a medium-sized room. The 64GB capacity is massive; even at higher quality settings I’ve recorded for days without worrying about space. Playback is simple and loud enough on the built-in speaker, and transferring files is true drag-and-drop over USB (recognized instantly on my laptop). The interface is straightforward, the display is easy to read, and the device is lightweight and pocket-friendly. The MP3 player function is a nice bonus for listening to recordings or music on the go.If you need a reliable dictaphone for meetings, interviews, lectures, or personal notes, this hits the sweet spot of quality, storage, and ease of use. Excellent value and highly recommended.

Great for the price
Well made and responsive. Audio quality is fine for the price. Make sure to turn gain and recording volume down before using aux cable otherwise it's at max by default and is far too loud and distorted. Also be sure to chance the source to Line In. A huge plus is it detects audio, so it will automatically pause the recording when nothing is happening and continue recording again when it detects new audio. This is perfect for my use case of logging recorded calls from a landline phone with a headphone jack. It's not tiny bit it's not big either. Buttons feel nice and responsive. Screen brightness has a good range. Cannot comment on battery life as i have not used it for long enough yet. Though it does function whilst plugged in which is a huge plus! The recording UI isn't exactly the same as what is shown in the product photo but it is functionally the same. The only thing i don't really like is the recording button is a switch. In the up position it records and once you click it to the down position it saves it. Also, as far as i can find, there is no way to change the filename of a recording on the device itself.

Excellent voice recorder
I am so happy with the Distancee 64GB digital voice recorder. It records my voice crystal clear. It has an erase button to delete files easily. To record, you slide the side button up and then to stop the recording you slide it down so there is no chance to accidentally press the wrong button to record. I like the small compact size which fits in my hand easily. Battery is a rechargeable one that charges with a USB C cable that is supplied. Instruction leaflet is supplied. The highest bitrate setting is 1536kbps which is fine for me. Overall, I am very pleased with the durability, size and functionality of this voice recorder.

Disappointing results
Many problems. 1. The description doesn't explain that it only records in mono even though it shows L and R on the screen. It will take a stereo line in or stereo external mic but only record it to a mono track. 2. Many of the audio quality settings do not work. E.g. after selecting 192kbps MP3 it shows "waiting" every time you try to record, and after a while the unit restarts itself or locks up. 3. The electronics are not protected from interference. E.g. using a wireless mic you hear the 2.4ghz interference. Similar interference when near a phone etc.. Even when using line in. 4. I wondered if the unbranded 64gb card was to blame for some of the problems but I tried a branded 32Gb SD card and it has the same issues. 5. Certainly does not record 20hz to 20khz, it makes everything sound midrange. So OK for voice but not for recording music.

Not “new” as 32 recordings on the dictaphone.
Just opened the box and put some charge into it. For a “New” device, it has 32 recordings on it in a foreign language, therefore not as advertised “new”. I’d love to know why. Apart from that, it appears to work well, decent clarity with playback and recording - suitable for site audits. Not yet used log enough to see battery life.

Brillaint Kit
I picked this up mainly for meetings and the odd note-taking, and it’s actually been a lot better than I expected. First impressions were good it feels solid enough in the hand and not like one of those cheap gadgets you regret buying straight away. The voice activation is probably my favourite feature. Once you’ve got it set up, it just starts recording when it hears sound and stops when it’s quiet, which saves loads of time going through hours of silence later. The different sensitivity levels are handy too, especially if you’re in a noisier environment. Sound quality is surprisingly clear for such a small device. The DSP noise reduction does make a difference voices come through well without too much background noise, even when I wasn’t right next to it. It’s also really easy to use. No messing about with complicated menus just straightforward controls and you’re up and running. Transferring files to a computer is simple as well, which makes organising recordings a lot easier. Battery life and storage seem more than enough too. With 64GB, I don’t feel like I need to constantly delete files, and it’s been reliable every time I’ve used it. Overall, it’s one of those bits of kit that just quietly does its job without any fuss. If you need something for meetings, lectures, or even just personal notes, this is definitely worth picking up

Distancee 64GB digital voice recorder for the use of recording music.
I looked through all the reviews of this recorder along with the other brands on offer and I couldn't find many reviews that supported it for recording music. I solely wanted a recording device for recording me playing bass guitar along with a drumming backing track mainly for listening back and learning from it. The Distancee 64GB is small and robust as mentioned in many other reviews and with a few attempts and adjustments I was really surprised with the quality I achieved when recording. Firstly I would recommend to other fellow musicians that buy this recorder to go into the recording settings and set the denoise function to off. Then set the nitrate setting to 1024K bps. I tried recording at 1536k but the recording had glitches on playback. I also set the AVR level to off and for the last but not least I set the microphone gain level to 5 in the gain setting. Recording of bass guitar and drumming backing track was recorded in a mid sized living room and when I listened back to the recording through headphones the clarity was excellent. Also sounds good through the built in speaker but nothing as good as through headphones. For less than £30 it's a bargain and well worth buying.

Great product, perfect for normal use
Great little voice recorder. I've only used it a couple of times so far but picks up sound with good clarity and easy to use. Good value for money if you don't need all the frills from more expensive devices.
