I’m a big Meopta Fan. Been running their rifle scopes for years. And their upper line scopes can yield some serious competition to the some big name optics. Here’s my take on the Optika HD 8x42 binoculars. There is some serious internal reflection/ halo effect. Just can’t deal with that. As far as the quality of the glass; it’s not where I want to be. Not even close. Not as sharp in the center as I want. Edges definitely fall off considerably. But you have to keep in mind they are low priced binoculars. And with that being said there are manufacturers making better and better products these days for less money. Nikon Monarch 7’s cost a little more but are a definite step up optically. I sure am not buying into someone saying Meopta Optika HD binoculars are Leica or near Alpha. To a great extent you just can’t beat the system. For real quality optics you just about forced into coughing up some more money. Review: They are light enough to handle with one hand.
