Got this because it is horizontal and fits in front of the tv without obscuring the subtitles. Also ideal for on the dresser aimed over the bed. It’s sleek design uses 2 motors and is said to be more energy efficient which is great for plugging into a battery bank during a power outage. It’s got 5 speeds and it pretty quiet on the 2 lowest settings. It does an excellent job of pushing air out and the unique vertical oscillation is effective, albeit unusual. It looks more like a speaker than a fan, but it is cool, well constructed and so far worth the hefty price tag. The remote is tiny and has a magnet, but I’ll need to be careful not to loose it. Overall I recommend this fan for a small to medium size room for anyone not wanting a typical mundane propeller fan. Cheers!

Comes with a wall wart, 120VAC to 12VDC Volts with a DC 5.5x2.1mm male plug into the fan’s female plug. I’ve successfully powered it with a Jackery and LiFePO4 battery through a cable, male at both ends: 12V cigarette lighter plug to 5.5x2.1mm. I wish it had a timer function. And it does seem expensive for what it is. Looks like there are 2 blower fans inside of it. Air comes in from the bottom. It does feel and look like a quality build though. Easy to set up. Strong air flow. Good range of speed settings, from .5A to 2A (6-24 Watts). Oscillation function only seems to add 1 Watt to the power draw. The noise is relatively broadband, low-mid pitch. I sleep with it under my hammock, blowing on my back, at the second highest setting without being annoyed by the sound. The highest 2 settings are loud, but have a much more pleasant sound than the high-pitched whine I’m used to from small 12V fans.

Initially I really liked this product, it was quiet and provided good airflow, had a nice design. Unfortunately, after a few months the fan began to make a loud noise while oscillating, and also makes a loud clicking/snapping noise at the top and bottom of the oscillation cycle. I tried reaching out to customer service but did not get an answer back. For the price I was expecting better quality.

I wanted to love it. I have multiple vornado fans and have been an advocate since the first. I liked the design and idea of this one so I was ok with the high price tag. It’s loud, but it’s powerful so I was also ok with the noise from the blower, what I’m not ok with is the grinding noise it makes even in its lowest setting. The worst part is I’ve only had it a few weeks and it’s had less than 5 hours of use. At first I thought it was because of the oscillation but it does it even when not moving meaning it’s one of the fans. Kinda sounds like the noise the predator makes so if you’re into that, it’s the fan for you.

I found the unit to be of high quality for what it is. Noise was not bad at all for the amount of airflow.

So far, it's not a bad fan and it fits in tight spots. It is louder than a normal fan, output is linear, it's not a circulator. This is a fan you set to blow directly onto you, not something that stirs the air in the room. The real bonus is this fan can be adapted to a 12v system with minimal effort and no modification. The wall wart is 12v less than 5 amps. Perfect for Boats or RVs. You'll need to purchase a barrel connector to break out the wires to run to the 12v system. (Center of the barrel is 12v positive). The remote works well, only downside is the size, I'd rate it as very attractive to pixies, I don't expect to know where this thing is within the month.

This AXL fan is what they describe. I describe it as a zone fan that can also provide direct close air circulation for my comfort. Modern and fits into a technology environment. I could not find specs on CFM but it is really new. It is similar to the new slice fan but has two small fans instead of one and is horizontal drawing air from the bottom. Check out the dimensions it is small enough to enjoy a breeze next to your bed and quiet enough to live there. It is a Vornado so no worries about replacement or support. The team they have has alway been cordial and effective with any issues. I just can’t say anything negative about their DC products. I even run them off of my solar generator. Warranty is exceptional. That’s enough of my lip. You have to try to enjoy a seat at the table.

Funciona bien pero su caudal de aire es pobre. Aparenta ser un equipo poderoso. Su publicidad es engañosa. Tengo Vornados que compré hace 30 años que soplan con más poder que este modelo.

Su rango de ventilación es muy limitado … no vale lo que cuesta
