This Annie Sloan chalk paint covered up the black paint, very well and I put a clear coat of wax on after the two coats of paint!

Number one- this product is expensive. Not a lot of product, yet a high cost. Yes, it works well. Well enough to justify the cost? No, not for me. I needed a lot of the wax to cover an antique writing desk. I used a brush first, the original paint started showing through. This is after a 72 hour cure with chalk paint. I figured the brush was just to bristley. Even though it is a wax brush. Well, I then decided to dip with my glove on and apply it extremely gentle. That worked. But, a lot of wax was used. User error. Maybe. Did it dry well. Absolutely, it did. I do random projects at home. Some may find the cost worth it and people like me can't justify the cost.

Great quality paint; I use all colors in the line

I’ve used this product before. It works great and goes on smooth., final result is a durable finish. I feel like I’m paying more for the brand name than the actual product itself. The cost is getting expensive. I understand inflation and overhead costs for making products but I’m also aware of what the retail markup cost is on this specific product. I have since found a less expensive product that is of the same quality.

I have a number of pieces of chalk painted furnitute - Annie Sloan , of course. it protects the finish and also deepens the color.

Been using Annie Sloan products for years, great quality and value for money. Never disappoints. Gorgeous effect with the dark wax.

Did just what we wanted worth the price and goes a long way

Used Annie Sloan dark wax on my banister after painting it, and I’m so impressed with the finish it gave. I was trying to create more of a wood look rather than a flat painted finish, and this worked perfectly. It adds depth and brings out a really natural, almost oak-like effect depending on how you apply it. You can build it up slowly or wipe it back if you’ve gone too heavy, so it’s quite forgiving. It also gives a nice subtle sheen without looking glossy, which makes it look much more realistic. Only thing I’d say is a little goes a long way, so don’t overdo it at first. Really happy with how it turned out completely changed the look of the banister
