There's a perfect blend of historical narrative and technical detail to make this book a real joy to read. The book is illustrated with hundreds of color photographs of the cars and their components. There's a record of each chassis and an exhaustive wins list by chassis number.The technical information is equally complete, divided into chapters by system. Engine, transmission, brakes, etc... The book is not a maintenance manual, so it does not go down to that level of detail. No information about how to disassemble and reassemble the engine or how to wire the electrical system or anything approaching that level of detail. Those publications exist, but they have to be ordered from Porsche.This is a beautiful book that will be fascinating for anyone who secretly wants to own one of these classic racing cars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a shop manual, but a fun reference *by G***B on Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2020* This is a fun book to read, if you are aware of the 956/962 era of racing.
