Doctor's Best High Absorption Iron Tablet with Ferrochel, Gentle on The Stomach, Immune Health, Blood Health, 27 mg

This is an excellent product. I had surgery which resulted in blood loss and anemia. My iron levels were in the toilet and my hemoglobin was about 9.0, very anemic. My doc told me to start taking an iron supplement twice a day but upon researching it it seemed that taking a larger dose every other day would be more beneficial so I did that. I took three of these tablets every other day on an empty stomach and with one capsule of Doctors Best 1000mg vitamin C (Yes I am a big fan of this brand). Within two months my hemoglobin was up to 14.2 and my iron levels were at low normal. I feel so much better. Doc told me to keep doing what I’ve been doing for another 3 months to fully replenish my iron stores. This. is not medical advice nor am I saying that this is what you should do, I’m just telling you what happened to me.

On my yearly bloodwork I was told I was low on iron in both compartments that store iron in your body. Something about the main supply and backup supply in your body. Anyway, I was told by my doc to take iron for 6 months and we’ll do another test to see if I’m iron deficient/anemic. Got my bloodwork done after 6 months and my iron levels have now gone back to normal! Never took iron pills before but I researched these since they said chelated and wanted to gain more knowledge. I usually take one pill in the morning with water and sometimes with some OJ about a hour before breakfast. Never had any issues. The pills are small so they’re easy to swallow. Only “negative” would be they kind of taste funny if you don’t drink enough water with it but that’s okay since they actually work.

Great Iron no belly hurt great product.

As many women know due to our menstrual periods, I am prone to becoming a bit anemic during that time of the month. I was getting lightheaded at the most inopportune times so I purchased this to avoid that. I do like this and I've gone through 2 bottles of it, but I did notice that sometimes it would make me feel a little nauseous despite the fact that it says it's gentle on the stomach. Since I seem to personally be a bit more sensitive, I found an iron pill that has less iron in it (NOW brand with 18mg iron) and that has worked out better for me personally.

Excellent product. My daughter is anemic and we were trying to avoid a transfusion. This did the trick!
