Is this a knock off because the ingredients list shows sulfates and thats unlikely to me?

If you mean Magnesium Sulfate, it is epsom salt and not a detergent, which is what most sulfates are. Detergent sulfates are bad for your hair; they’re drying and harsh. Magnesium sulfate can be a little drying on hair, but as long as it’s balanced with other moisture products you will be fine! So when you think of bad sulfates that you avoid in hair products, magnesium sulfate isn’t one of them. It’s Curly Girl approved, if that helps!

Why dose it say sulfate free,But has sulfate on the back of the list of ingredients?

The ingredient is magnesium sulfate which is Epson salt, not the bad sulfates. However too much magnesium sulfate can really dry your hair so make sure you have hydrating products as well.

Is this for low prosity type 4a hair?

This product sits on the hair pretty heavily (almost waxy.) My hair is medium porosity and it didn’t absorb well-if at all. There was a coating that weighed my curls down. If you have a tighter curl pattern, I doubt this product will penetrate your hair shaft to define and condition your curls. It smells great-but that’s about it. Skip it.
