Great upgrade
Highly recommend. Works on clones of Cutech also (like Rikon, Wen...). Have one of the clones and installation process was very straight forward. The package contains the extra support brackets (that come standard on the Cutech jointers) and comes with a template that makes drilling the holes for the supports easy. Jointer is substantially more solid at the fence compared to aluminum fence and doesn't add a lot of weight to the overall weight.

Great upgrade to a wickedly good machine.
This fence is well worth the $’s. Buy it and not not think twice.

Worth the upgrade.
Bought this for my Wahuda 8" jointer. Fit just fine. You will need to drill four holes for the two support brackets. You will also need four metric nuts for the bolts. 10MM I believe. I removed the two end plates on the jointer to attach the brackets . Very easy. The fence is nice and sturdy and well worth the upgrade.

Doesn’t fit clone jointers
This is a great fence. Solid, heavy duty, and a great aftermarket upgrade. That is if you own a Cutech jointer. Previous reviews said this fits clones. It does not if you want it to work right. Unfortunately, clones do not have the internal structural support to stabilize the fence. I know this because there was no template to drill holes to support the fence. I called the manufacturer and was told they stopped including the template because the fence flexed due to the lack of internal structural support in clone jointers..😩

Flat and shiny :)
Package received intact. No damage, not even a small dent in box! fence itself inside styrofoam. Bare part of the fence covered with thick antirust oil and protective paperlike material. A rug soaked in mineral spirits cleaned it really nice, almost like mirror finish :) Now, installing brackets went really easy. M6 tap + #9 drill (or M5) and few minutes after you got yourself 4 holes tapped. Luckily my Wahuda jointer has some thick steel base and some "meat" to tap into. Thick and hard, to the point my first drill didn't produce any shavings :) Once drilled and supports installed, long machinist square + feeler gauges really helped fine tuning the squareness. Once set, position the supports just slightly touching the back of the fence. Don't push as this will ruin your adjustments. Enjoy :) TIP: buy M6 long (30mm) screw, to mount the fence bracket to the cast iron fence itself. Screws that they ship with to mount the alu fence are way to short. They will hold with only few mm and the cast iron thread is itself 25mm deep, as far as I remember.

Perfect Upgrade for Cutech Bench Top Jointer
Wow! What a difference! I actually ended up jointing my last couple of projects on the table saw because I couldn't get a square edge on my Cutech bench top jointer with that tiny aluminum fence. I stumbled across this while looking for other related tools and figured I'd give it a go. I'm so glad I did. It's so much sturdier, longer, and taller, and I was able to square it with the table reasonably quickly and easily. I ran a piece of scrap through it to test it out. I'm so excited to have a usable jointer again. I don't understand why this just doesn't come with the jointer standard, even at a higher price. It would be well worth it. I think the only complaint I have about it is that I had to drill and tap holes in the base unit to mount the auxiliary supports, which wasn't clear in the listing. The instructions were also a bit lacking in guidance on the screw size and thread pitch, but nothing you can't figure out.
