These work surprisingly well. I had used less expensive aluminum baskets, but those just don't last. These certainly are of much sturdier construction. For whatever reason, fuel is consumed more completely with these (perhaps a better chimney effect due to the greater height and more sturdy walls?) and I get more cook time with the same amount of fuel. Not only does the fuel seem to last longer, the temperatures seem to be more even throughout the cooking period. The design seems fine: a larger version of the original ones designed for the grill, which works out very well. This works out quite well for a variety of cooking methods. I don't use the water pan since I find that the local humidity is more than sufficient for my cooking purposes, but the water pan seems to be capacious and would be useful if one needed steam.

Works as should and seems well built

These work excellent. I only used one of them on this particular cook. Perfect size for what o needed. It comes with the 3 pieces when you order them and depending on what you’re cooking you can use both or just the one. They are built extremely well and very sturdy and will last a long time.

You say your Weber lid thermometer is in the wrong place? Nah you’re just using your kettle wrong! The Weber kettle was designed to do low and slow with the coals on each side and the thermometer and vents aligned between them. These baskets work great for that scenario. Very high quality and should last forever. I use them when I want to go old school but I confess that they get a lot less use than my Flame Tech Smoke and Sizzle. 5 stars though because they do what they are intended to do and they are great quality.

Arrived today. While I haven't used it yet, it's worth noting the immediate difference in the sturdiness and weight of these items as compared to other major accessory brands making flimsy coal baskets that rot away. Fits my Weber 22" charcoal kettle perfectly. I'll be checking out the kit more closely this weekend.

Very expensive for what they are but they work great

This is exactly what I was looking for! Worked perfectly.

I rarely give 5 star reviews, but the support staff at SnS was awesome, answering my questions about burn time. Was told about 5 hours with kingsford blue. first cook was dino ribs. 7 hour cook only had to add 5 briquettes. Was a little worried about the size in my 22" weber. good build and stout.
