I LOVE this thing! Great homelab NAS for Proxmox/TrueNAS/UnRaid etc
I was surprised how much I loved this thing once it arrived! Pros: - No sharp corners or metal. Compared to some of the devices I've received, especially how much you have to grab and reach into the case to e.g. route the SATA cables, there are no sharp edges I've found. - Very compact given the # of bays, and SATA backplane (left side) works great. Left side of bay is hot swap, right side has to be manually set up, which is a little annoying, but the price you won't hear anything bad out of me. - Looks amazing. I love looking at this in my homelab setup. - Quiet, takes a regular SFX compact power supply, doesn't have any giant extra fans like getting a decomm'd enterprise server off eBay. - Powerful (or as powerful as you want it). Since it just takes a MicroATX board, I have consolidated many services into one including all my Proxmox VMs, as I installed my own Ryzen 5600 processor instead of having to deal with some integrated low-end N95 or 100 CPU. Has room for 3 or 4 PCIe slots (half height) on your ITX/mATX board as well. Cons: - As mentioned, having the right side bay (inlcuding the 2.5" drives) need to be manually set up with the SATA power and cabling is a bit of a PIA. But this is a very inexpensive device. But I only needed two drives on that side. - No remote console. You can obviously DIY one yourself (I got the AOOCOO HDMI USB KVM Extender Over Cat 6/7 to solve this). Some IPMI module with built-in power would be ideal, but again this is not enterprise hardware and it's certainly not enterprise pricing. I am super happy I took a chance on this, will report back if I have any issues, but so far it's been at least a month and has been smooth sailing.

Excelent enclosure with some slight issues
Unsurprising to anyone this case is somewhat cramped to work in. Anyone with any system build experience could have called that. What couldnt have been called however was how obnoxiously bad the included fan is. When i tried running the NAS i built in it over night all i could hear was this low pulse constantly through the night. Eventually i turned it off from my phone and ordered a noctua fan for it. Upon inspecting this bundled no-name fan i noticed it had a very pronounced wobble which was likely the culprate of the awful noise. After a fan change and opting to use the 4-pin fan header on the motherboard instead of the 3-pin header on the daughterboard the acustics arent bad (and the cooling is ever so slightly better) Another issue that is minor for me but could be major for someone else: be sure to observe the length of the motherboard power connector on your PSU. You want something thats over long so you can route it off to the side and back around instead of straight through the front side as doing this will make the top 2 drive bays un-usable. Not a deal breaker for me but if you had planned on using all avalible bays this could be an issue for you. This probably goes without saying but i highly recomend a modual PSU to pair with this case because, as stated previously its very cramped and while you have basically 360 access to the top chamber you dont have the same ease of access to the bottom chamber. If you are planning on using this case for a system that does more demanding tasks than acting as a home storage or media server i would probably look elsewhere as there is only 1 120mm fan mount and there isnt a lot of room for a GPU or a good cooler for a modern high end CPU. Still for a NAS for a home lab or media server it's beautiful and functional. Ps: also be aware that there is a green indicator light on the daughter board that is very apparent in the dark. I mention this because i was unaware of it until i had gotten it up and running and i couldnt find infor about this anywhere prior.

Quality and Features one has come to expect with this Brand!
I had a special "non-NAS" need and frankly hadn't heard of this brand before. Jonsbo and especially this N4 version turned out to be EXACTALLY what i was looking for .... and i honestly think i looked at every case on Amazon over the course of two weeks. Quality was excellent, plenty of ventilation, provided fan was fine, room for extra if needed, good cable routing, both fixed and hot swap drive connections (and with room for a few extra SSDs in the top if needed (I will have 6 HDs, 4 SSDs and 1 M.2 ... with both a USB 3 and USB C on the front front panel (11 drives .... yeah ... it is a special application) .... And for those who care ... it is "Ikea Kallax compatible" if it matters. The white with genuine wood gives it a nice elegant touch for what normally would be a more industrial product. UPDATE: when fully loaded (or overloaded in my case - 11 drives) .... the need for more ventilation other reviewers have noted MOST DEFINATELY IS a thing for the lower drive bays. ..... but as mentioned above ...plenty of room to add more which I WILL be doing! Still a great case!

Good case with cooling issue.
Overall its a good case but it has one major design flaw; no cooling for drives. drives go above 70C normally, you would have to install a fan outside the case to operate in normal temps which ruins the aesthetics of the beautiful case. if it had a fan on drives and both drive cages with hot swap it would have been 5 stars for me. Otherwise the quality, design, accessories, and ease of use are all excellent.

Fun Project case, and Great for small servers
I enjoyed building my first NAS / Server in this case and I would definitely recommend the The Jonsbo N4 if you’re building a compact home storage. No case is perfect and it often depends on what you want to do with the case. Pros: Stylish and compact design: The walnut wood front adds a unique aesthetic that feels premium and cozy. Terrific storage capacity: Six 3.5″ HDD bays plus two 2.5" SSD slots in a small mATX chassis are impressive. Flexible motherboard support: Works with both Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX boards. Solid build and neat assembly: Despite the compact size, assembly is largely hassle-free. I didn't run into any issues for my build as long as you gather and plan out your build. Modern ports: Handy USB-C and USB-A front connections. Where It Could Improve: Hot-swap limitations: Only 4 out of the 6 HDD bays are hot-swappable, which is disappointing for a NAS-focused design. Cooling & noise: Luckily for me, I don't run very intensive services on my NAS, however if you do plan on it, I would say that the low-profile cooling option for your CPU and the constant running of the hard drives may not work well with the lack of Cooling options with this case. Perfect for a small Minecraft server or a Home Storage, but may run into issues on a higher load. Tight internals: Cable management and PSU fitting (particularly with SFX units) require patience and planning. TLDR; If you want a compact NAS with a sleek look and generous drive support, the Jonsbo N4 is a fantastic pick. Just be ready to upgrade the fan, plan your cable routing carefully, to run into less issues. Build it smart, and you'll have a beautiful, capable case that delivers.

Great Case That Requires Some Forethought
This a great NAS case. You just need to make sure you plan your build. You need to know how you are routing your cables before you screw down your motherboard. The trickiest one is the 24-pin motherboard cable since it will likely be the farthest point from the power supply. My build includes a mATX mboard; the 24-pin power cable from the GAMEMAX SFX Power Supply 650W [Full Modular] had just enough length (350mm, I think) to reach. Otherwise you may need to consider longer cables. Besides a few very sharp edges, my biggest complaint is: if you have to change any of the non hot-swap drives, you need pull out the power supply. Yet considering its compactness and sleek appearance, it is worth it (despite a few cuts on my fingers).

What a great case
This is a great case, just understand what you're getting yourself into. It takes a special power supply (SFF) and depending on the motherboard you'll also need an ATX power extension and a PCIe SATA to give yourself extra connections. All said and done, it makes for a very sleek and small TrueNAS build. My father-in-law is very happy with the footprint and capacity we were able to do with this case. The cooling fan is a 3 pin, not PWM, it's a little louder but the performance was good so we kept it over a quieter unit. I'd build with this case again, nice quality, easy to work with, drives are easy to remove.

Could have been great!
Decent little case, looks nice, I put it in one of those 4 cubby shelf things from IKEA, fits perfectly with no airflow issues (the shelf is not quite up against the wall). I did proactively replace drive fan with one of my Phanteks 120mm. One issue I have with this case is that the backplane should have included the other 2 3.5” slots. This isn’t a dealbreaker and I knew this going in, but still would have been a nice-to-have. My biggest issue with this case is that the onboard backplane that came with it is garbage. I run Truenas and was getting tons of iCRC errors which is usually a cable issue, except my SATA and power cables are all known-good. Knowing that, I tried bypassing the backplane and lo-and-behold, the iCRC errors are gone… Not sure if it is a power issue, as the input only has 1 molex and 1 SATA power for 4 drives, or a SATA trace issue in the PCB, but I now have a hotswappable case but no hotswap capability. Pretty disappointed tbh…

Nice looking case
Fairly loud fan, nice case otherwise. Fits my needs pretty well. Don't forget you need an SFC PSU, and modular is really handy to keep the voids as clear as possible for airflow.

Nice case
The case is excellent. I upgraded from an old NAS case from the 2017 era, which had become difficult to work on. At one point, a screw even fell onto the motherboard without me noticing. Luckily, the motherboard went into protection mode and only needed a hard reset. Although it was more expensive on Amazon than at other retailers, none of them had it in stock with immediate delivery, so I can’t fault the case for that. I replaced the supplied fan with a BeQuiet and added a 60 mm Noctua fan. There might even be space for a 40 mm fan, though I’m not entirely sure. Temperatures are far better than with my old NAS case, and it looks much better too.

Good Looking and Functional.
Pretty happy with this case. I was initially confused that it did not come with drive trays but that explained itself when it comes with hardware that essentially makes the drives themselves trays. Case looks good. Its a bit tight behind the non-backplaned side of the drive tray area and keeping cables clean is a bit of a challenge. The fan is loud but considering its the only one in the case besides the cpu cooler I'd rather have the airflow than it be quiet.

Great case, but check board clearance before you buy!
Really great case. Plenty of drive bays for a small NAS, and it's decently laid out and doesn't use alan keys like the n3. Only issue is the top cavity where the board sits was simply too short and I didn't check (I underestimated the dimensions). This case requires a minimum combined board height of 92mm, before you purchase make sure your heatsink has enough clearance! I had to settle with the N3 instead.

Pretty Good
Its a nice, functional case for a small at home NAS. Leaves a little to be desired in the cooling department though as there is only 1 (a little noisy) 120mm fan mounted in exhaust at the back and no other pre-drilled fan mounting holes on the case at all. Now I say pre-drilled because if you're like me and are running a bit of a larger array and populate all the hard drive bays you'll notice this thing gets a little warm. You can tinker like I did and enlarge a few of the mesh holes on top and fit 2 120s on the top and I was able to squeeze 2 92mm slim fans in the front of the bays just affixed with some good 2 sided tape. You'll have to forgo the drive handles supplied by jonsbo in that case though. As far as functionality though everything works as described. There are a few fan mods to 3D print out there for these jonsbo cases .
