Review: These are gorgeous stoneware plates. They are made in Belgium, designed by Italian graphic artist, Ivo Bisignano in collaboration with British chef/restaurateur, Yotam Ottolenghi. I will buy just about anything with Ottolenghi's name attached to it because, as a follower of him and his reataurants for years, I am well aware of his perfectionism and high standards. These plates are no exception. The design, like Ottolenghi's recipes, is delightful and unusual. The glaze is flawless. The stoneware is appropriately weighty and thankfully practical. This particular set of plates isvery much on the small side. I would describe them as being somewhere between a bread plate and a salad plate. They are called breakfast plates, and would fit a piece of avocado toast, but not really a full breakfast. They are also described as dessert plates, and the rim is nicely deep enough that a dessert with a sauce or Creme Anglaise would work without trouble. Really pleased with these plates. I would love to get more of this set when available - it's fun and unusual.

Beautiful platter. Nice size to display our culinary creations. My only complaint is not about the product, but how it was shipped. There was absolutely no packing materials in the box. The platter was able to slide around the Amazon box quite a bit. We were worried we would find it broken, but luckily it was not.
