Easy to setup and use (less than 2 minutes). Easy to use in any Carplay device.
Excellent wireless smart car adapter for carplay device. Just plug and drive (less than 2 minute setup)! Connected to CarPlay device wirelessly. The device is a solid build. The product contains a USB device and a user manual. The user manual is well written with clear instructions. The USB device was extremely easy to setup. After adding the USB device to the Bluetooth of mobile and plugged into USB port it immediately connected to Carplay. Could straightaway see the navigation app (as on the mobile device (please see image/video). Easy access to maps, messaging, google assistant and apps icons. TomTomGo (or Google maps) load immediately with precise location (dependent on GPS on mobile device). The navigation switches to night vision based on the time of use. Touchscreen function (depending on the carplay device) responds well once connected using this device. I find this very useful for e.g. when in different cars. It also has a USB C connection. Could use this device to connect immediately to any car without having to look for new setup each time as it is linked to the mobile (will test further in different cars and update soon). I could easily setup the carplay device and use it in less than 2 minutes. No hassle connections. Once setup the android mobile started connecting automatically on every journey. Would definitely recommend if looking for a simple wireless connection to use in a car.

7 month review
I've had this wireless CarPlay adapter for just over 7 months now, and overall I really like it. It works well, and I definitely prefer it over using a cable. There are a few issues I've noticed, though. It tends to disconnect in certain areas every time I drive through them—around 8 times out of 10 it disconnects and takes a couple of minutes to reconnect, and the other 2 times it just lags until I'm past the area. I’ve tried it in two different vehicles and had the same problem. Another issue is that if someone else connects their phone to it, when I reconnect mine afterwards it lags quite badly for a couple of days before going back to normal. Also, a small but annoying thing is that the cap on the back fits very loosely and keeps falling off. That said, over 7 months in, I'm still happy with it. Despite these little problems, I still much prefer it over using a cable, and the issues aren’t big enough for me to want to switch to a different adapter.

Fantastic Product
I don’t think there is a way this device could be improved at all. My wife had noticed that the cabled connection in her car’s dedicated system was unreliable, often disconnecting mid journey when she was trying to follow the SatNav, only to reconnect a few minutes later. I was going to buy her another cable, but knowing that AndroidAuto is often inexplicably fussy about cables that work perfectly well for every other device and every other purpose, I decided to check the price of a wireless solution. My own after market Android head unit works much better over Bluetooth itself, so I had no qualms over the technology, and was pleasantly surprised to find this device was only £20. Setup took minutes, we just plugged it in, started the car, searched for a new Bluetooth device, and within 30secs or so it had appeared. From that moment it connects instantly with my wife’s phone every time she gets in the car. You will find that after the initial Bluetooth connection, the dongle actually uses WiFi to connect to your phone, as it can transfer far more data that way, which is required for maps, navigation, music etc. The only thing I still need to do is connect it using a small USB extender, as it looks a little bit vulnerable sticking straight up inside the car’s armrest among mints, sunglasses, tissues etc! Oh, and it’s also worth noting that this device is double ended, so has full size USB-A one end and USB-C the other, so perfect for all vehicles and future proof if you’re thinking about changing car!

Does what it is supposed to and easy to set up
Been a bug-bear of mine for a while that my EV6 only has wired carplay so decided to try one of these units and works a treat. Set up was easy and instructions were clear. Only issue I had was that, having connected the bluetooth, the carplay did not immediately connect, but when I unplugged and plug the USB unit back in it then popped up and has worked every time since. All functionality is the same as the wired connection, and I cannot notice any lag or anything. My are carplay socket is standard USB but this unit is double ended with USB one end and USB C the other (cap can be switch to the end you are not using) which makes it very flexible. According to the instructions firmware can also be updated but I haven't tried that yet. Also reasonably compact. All in all very please with this, and if you, like me, want to upgrade your wired Carplay to wireless in a cost effective manner then this is definitely worth a look.

Refund Required
Worked well for a week, now keeps disconnecting and can't properly listen to music as it skips and is infuriating.

Nearly perfect but temperamental at times
For the money it's great. Small and with the USB A and USB C, it'll fit and work with pretty much all vehicles. I've tried all functionality from Spotify, maps, voice calls, WhatsApp calls and more, and everything worked as if it was plugged in with a cable so you couldn't ask for more. However the reason I am giving it 3 stars is a lot of the time it will fail to connect even after multiple attempts and re-pair attempts. Ultimately I will end up having to use my cable. Annoyingly it's just very inconsistent, when it connects it works perfectly it's just when it fails it's very frustrating.

Easy set up and value for money
I don't use Android Auto a lot so wasn't prepared to pay more money for something that will not be used regularly. Bought this as it was around half price of other brands so I was interested to try it out (thanks partly to Amazons return policy). Set up was easy in my Jaguar F Pace (ICTP Pro) and it was up and running in a couple of minutes. Everything works as it should and connects to my phone quickly as soon as the head unit powers up.
