The original battery in that unit was an Exide EP1229W that had a large APC sticker applied to conceal all Exide markings. This new battery has identical form and fit of the original, and functions correctly. The seller's complete contact information was enclosed, along with a pledge to accept returns, even if there turns out to be difficulty in processing a return through Amazon. Although I haven't attempted to process a return, there is every indication that the seller provides excellent customer service. Longevity is not yet known, but I'll update if it's less than expected. For now, the old UPS operates like new, at a much lower cost than a full replacement.
