Zoo Med Reptile Ramp Bowl, X-Large, Assorted Colors

We have a wild eastern box turtle that lives in our back yard. When the weather gets dry, we noticed he gets dehydrated and doesn’t look well. Got this for him and put it in his regular path and he loves it! He frequently soaks and naps in it or just drops by to get a drink. The unit is solid and stays put. It’s easy to clean and it’s the perfect size. The molded ridges and non-uniform edge made to look like rocks give him good traction getting in and out. I have also caught snakes and insects stopping by for drinks on hot days. It’s been a wonderful addition to our yard!

These are high quality and last forever. I just replaced one I had for over 15 years under the UV lights for my turtles.

I have the smaller ramp version & some other shape water basins by this brand. This Extra Large Ramp will indeed work with my adult Eastern Box turtles but it is also great for my babies Braxton & Dana. Nice for them to bathe, eat & bask under supervision in shallow water. I’ll order another Extra Large Ramp for my adults. I added a photo of the Small Ramp in Aqua Blue for comparison.

I looked at several options for a large water bowl for our bearded dragon. I selected this one because it is heavy, so stays in place, and does not move around the enclosure when she walks through it, or climbs into it. It is also the right size for an adult bearded dragon. She can fit the majority of her body in it to soak if she wants, but it is not so large that she could submerge herself entirely to possibly drown. I didn’t care so much about the aesthetics of it, but it does look fine if you are interested in a plastic rock-like effect. The only downside was it was the most expensive of all the options but it was worth the price for stability and less chance of spills .

This is a well-made product, just be aware that it is really small. The inside dimentions of the bowl are about 3.5 x 2.5 inches. It will hold one and only one baby box turtle at a time. On the other hand the small size can be an advantage with hatchlings -- my hatchling Ornate box turtle has no problem crawling in and out of this bowl. My guess is it would be great for other small critters like hermit crabs.

Mi tortuga ya casi no sale, ya va a hibernar. Espero verla pronto disfrutando. Me gustó mucho el tamaño y el material. La tortuga salió facilmente, espero que pueda entrar igual.
