Strong, but instructions faulty.
I received these(I bought two separately) for use on my 2002 Ford F150. Both arrived with damaged packaging and appeared to have been previously returned or used. The instructions for installation were inadequate and wrong. I had to improvise and buy another nut/bolt/washer.That being said, it is very strong and easy to deploy. The step could be larger, though. The fasteners are neither galvanized or stainless steel, and will rust in time, I am sure. A previous reviewer noted a rusting problem. I am considering spraying rustoleum before the winter. For the price, I am happy with it, but if I was not able to figure out a way to install it on my own, I would have returned it.

Great step for my needs, still use it, still like it alot!!
I like this step, itโs the first one Iโve purchased of this style (hide away). I live in the south, so road salt will not be an issue.Do a fit test if your not familiar with this step. I thought it may need to be altered, but after I placed / temp. installed, it was a perfect fit on my 2014 Super Crew F150. Also I didn't trust the maybe Grade 3 bolt to install the adjustable step, so I installed one of my own grade 5 bolts. Now I know it'll hold my 225 lbs. no problem. Folks, for the cost vs. the other options this is a good step. But if you have $200.00 to get the "other option", go for it. You may have to be a little sure footed. I'm ordering another one for the other side.

Works but a pain to fit and flexes.
Pain to install (Dodge Ram) as you need to hold a bunch of loose brackets and shims up under the truck bed while trying to get a bolt through (Use cable ties). Also, the instructions were impossible as there was no way to fit the bolt and threaded insert into the steel beam. After watching videos, I worked out a hack. It's more of a toe step than a foot step as I got it as close to the truck body as possible, but it only sticks out a few inches when rotated.

A really good product!
I had these on my older Ford truck and I loved them. I bought some for my new Ram truck and they would not fit, bummer! If you need to access the front of your truck bed these work really good.

Truck side step by Bully
If this step had fit, I would have given it 5 rating as it seems well made, but... I have a 2008 2500HD Sierra, and according to the information give, this step should fit - it definitely doesn't. I called the 800 number in the box, and after several calls back and forth, his only advice was to machine or grind down one of the the parts, and make a different spacer, and etc. Huh? Even if I did all that, the step wouldn't be secure, as the only cross member available for installation has less than 4" free, and the step needs more than twice that to be stable. Amazon gladly accepted the return and as far as I am concerned, they get a 5+ rating for customer service.

purchased to reach into toolbox
Needed step to reach into toolbox. Ordered shipped quickly had it in a few says. Install on my 1997 f250 was easy. Worked great. Step could be wider...2yr update**** no longer useful. Does not work. Because of harsh nj winters with road salt this swivel has siezed up. And plastic handle became brittle and completly broke.. . Its a boat anchor now. I want to order another to replace, but little discouraged because of bad quality
